As a native new yorker, trained chef, and descendant of Puerto Rican and Dominican parents, I consider myself to be somewhat of a food snob, especially when ""criolla"", or ""puerto rican specialty"" is written next to anything. This place definately exceeded my ecpectations. The flavors are spot on, the atmosphere is inviting, and the service is always great! \r

I love that they also play latin music (such as celia cruz, and i think i heard the mambo kings soundtrack also playing) in the background, its not loud or annoying either. \r

I would definately recommend this as a date spot.
Pros: the food is fantastic!
Cons: a little hard to find Palo verde drive
