I remember the first time I entered this little oasis on East Ninth Street. It was more gallery than jewelry store and at no time was I overwhelmed with shiny things to look at. I wasn't in there more than a minute when I found a gorgeous but oddly shaped ring that I had to have. As I went from one display case to another, with each containing more beautiful pieces than the last I knew I'd stumbled onto something special. I've never really been a jewelry person, but these "baubles" had a certain depth to them. They had soul. The owners sum it up best, "We're trying to design modern heirlooms."
