the food is good although i wouldn't say it has the home-cooked qualities and mom-and-pop charm to it like the smaller italian restaurants do. same goes with the ambience: i love how it's located on the eclectic end of westheimer, but it's coporate-trendy presence seems out of place and not as cozy or homey as one should expect from an italian restaurant. one of it's other highlights is the mini pastry display, which is delectable to look at. but i think i'll stick to the other cozy italian restaurants that'll give me a better dining experience on a more personal level.*
