Do not deserve one star. They took 2 years to build our home, a home they said they could do in 9 mos. We went through 2 supervisors (1st one quit was trying to manage 19 houses for Tilson and the 2nd one had no experience he kept asking my husband how to do things, he was fired after he let mold grow in my house and they had to pull everything out back to studs) After all this we got the VP of construction and it did not get much better. They hire the cheapest subs around and they never supervise, I know cause I was at the house daily and was asked regularly by the subs what to do, it even happened one time while the VP was standing right there! Our bathtubs were used as toilets by the subs even though a port a potty was provided and Tilson wanted to argue that the tubs could just be washed and not replaced, I told them I would not buy the house if that was the case, they were replaced. I was lied to on a regular basis by everyone at Tilson and I had to call professionals to understand what was right and wrong and why Tilson's subs were doing things wrong and when I asked the subs they always said "this way is easier." We have a ton of electrical outlets all over not per plan because it was easier to put them on the left or right of the wall instead of on center. Then when we got to the end and there were still things that needed fixing I was told you can file a warranty after we close and they can come out to fix it. I have had to file a warranty for electrical, plumbing, A/C, paint, front door, back door. This is how they do business, one person in our town actually put signs in their front yard after Tilson built their house so poorly warning of Tilson, to bad my contract was signed. I had to call the local news station to get them to take care of the mold issues because they did nothing for 6 months. I could not even walk into the house the mold was so bad and it turned out it was the bad mold but it all could have been prevented, per the mold removal company. I have many horror stories but no more room.
