I recently went to the Sewickley Cafe for a nice weekend lunch. I was very disappointed with the service there. The owner saw us walk in and told us, unwelcoming, that someone would be with us. He was very rude; leaving us waiting at the front, with an open dining room, for what seemed to be forever. We asked a waiter if we could sit outside. He went to go check with his manager, and never came back. A different waitress came, and we asked her if we could eat outside. After seeing about three tables leave from the patio, she said it was full. How could that be? I guess they couldn't be bothered to move us. Since I have a nut allergy, I asked if my meal had any nuts in it. She simply looked at what I ordered on the menu and said it didn't have any nuts listed so there would probably be none! Like I hadn't already checked the the menu! She got my salad dressing wrong, and took forever to bring our drinks. Overall, the service was so terrible that I will not return! more
