As you tour the parlors and apartment, you will also learn some of the history of Atlanta. The museum has great memorabilia from the movie, Gone with the Wind - one of my all-time favorites. more

Wonderful for history buffs 8/21/2005

The Margaret Michell House and Museum is a great place for fans of Gone With the Wind, as well as history buffs. They have a tour which lasts about an hour and half, and they tell you not only about the history of Gone With the Wind, but more about the life and time of Margaret Mitchell. It has a lot of memorabilia from the movie, and the gift shop is fantastic! more

Somewhere to take visitors 8/10/2005

I thought this was a nice little landmark/ site/ museum to take my out of town guests. They take you on a tour through Margaret Mitchell's house and tell you about her life. The house was a good example of what early life was like in Atlanta. Afterward , you go through the Gone with the Wind "movie" museum. I thought it was rather interesting and I am not a fan. I haven't even seen the movie or read the book! My guests LOVED it and they are fans of the movie. Not a place for kids, really but anyone who appreciates history, the Civil War and film making can appreciate this tour. more

I mean unless you're a gone with the wind groupie (which means you're like 70) dont' come here and visit. NOT WORTH IT more
