The experience at Mistral was impeccable. The service was attentive, the interior nicely understated, but the food stood out. Ordering at Mistral is really quite easy. You simply have two decisions to make: 7 courses or 8? and with wine pairing or without. The rest of the decisions are handled by the chef. Each course comes delicately and flavorfully prepared. The courses each worked in several very distinct, but complimentary flavors that were often expressed in drops of sauce or a flavored foam. The meal was the most expensive I've had in Seattle by far, but it also was the best meal by far. more

Mistral--such a cute place! 3/23/2006

Okay, I've been to many fine dining places, and I must say Mistral is one of my fav in Seattle. The owner was totally nice and he even gave us free dessert wine to try! The food, great! They have a prix-fix menu and plan on spending on average $100/person w/o wine. The experience was good though. Unlike some of the fine dining place, the enviornment is not as snooty, rather, friendly. It's not a very dimly lit place either, which means that friends can enjoy a nice dinner and have casual conversation w/o any dating pressures! All in all, a must go! more
