I was fortunate enough to go with someone who had been before, along with another friend, so was warned as to what to expect. Laurie and Phred are the owners and they were both in house and some of the nicest people I've ever met. We had delicious wine in our hand almost as soon as we sat down. We were asked how hungry we were and if there were any dislikes or allergies and then we were completely in their hands. Course after course both of wine and food and it was all delicious. The ravioli especially made me get a little weepy it was so good. I can hardly wait to go back!
Pros: Epicurian adventure
Cons: you have to give up control.... I didn't mind but some might

I went to Eva's on a 5th date. We had a great time. The ambience is nice, low lights and grape vines. We arrived on a Wednesday night kinda early, and were glad to see it was not dead nor crowded. The server was nice , not snobby. The Food! It's really good! We had an a starter of pureed vegetable and pita, that was really delicious & full of flavor. For the main dish we had the Fresh tuna noodle dish, and I had the chick pea curry. Both were really good. And of coarse the wine selection is diverse.. A range of prices there. As for overall price we paid $60 with out tip, for one starter ,3 glasses of wine , and two entrees. When I go out my check list is:
#1 atmosphere, then service and then great fresh food. Out of the three the food stands out as the star.
Eva's Restaurant & Wine Bar is top notch for what I look for in a intimate spot. 5 Stars!
Pros: delicious, fresh ,unique food
Cons: cook be too expensive for some

From the outside window it just looks like a small bar, but a fair sized dining room is inside. The tiny bar is usually busy and the dining room was packed on my last visit. The dining area is a bit cramped. The walls are stocked with bottles of wine. A chilled mood is set with the dim candle lights and upbeat ambient groove music. The setting is good for a date or a hangout with a couple of friends (keep in mind that the tables are small). The tastiness of the food is what stands out for me. My recommendations are the organic spinach, pepperoni pizza, and duck leg confit. The duck is fantastic: very tender and falling off the bone. It?s also very rich. The robust flavors of the pizza and fresh frites are good with a red wine. A ? order of the plantain chips is the way to go for a small appetizer. The service has been great: attentive, giving good menu advice, and positive attitude. Marjorie is now one of my favorite joints with a funky ambiance.
Pros: Decent Prices, Decent Proportions, Environment
Cons: Belltown Parking, Cramped Dining Area

In order to NOT like Union, you have to have no taste buds and only eat mcdonalds. The staff is wonderful. the food is incredible. and the setting is romantic and intimate. i have been there atleast 10 times and i return for the changing menu and the great service. Those of you who complain about waiting to be seated or served, WHAT DO YOU THINK? IF THE RESTAURANT IS FULL THEY HAVE ATLEAST A HUNDRED OTHER PEOPLE TO WORRY ABOUT SO CALM DOWN AND WAIT. enjoy the people your with, and the endless bread and oil. i have eaten in more expensive restaurants and been disappointed. Union is a wonderfull place and the FOUR people out of 26 that don't like it dont know what they are talking about as well as what good food is. Also those of you who treat servers like dirt under your shoes, need to be more understanding, OR DONT GO OUT TO EAT. problem solved
Pros: EVERYTHING
Cons: NOTHING

I visited Chez Gaudy for the first time on a Saturday night a few weeks back. My girlfriend and I spotted the tiny sign sticking out from an apartment building at the corner of E Howell St and Bellevue Ave in Capitol Hill. The adventure continued as we found the entrance and wove through the restaurant to find the hostess. Our table was in the corner of a small alcove with dim red lighting, eclectic art, and a strange but fun mix of Jack Johnson, Michael Jackson, and many other mainstream artists. The menu is the perfect length with a handful of selections available each for "social boards," appetizers, main entrees and desserts. The cocktails are fantastic, and the while the wine list is somewhat limited, it fit my personal tastes anyway. I ended up ordering a fantastic flat bread pizza to start, which had pesto, kalamata olives, and parmesan. Following was an equally delicious Ete'Vita, which included a portobello mushroom in balsamic with chicken breast, goat cheese, and sauteed spinach. Even though I was full, I pushed my luck and got dessert, which turned out to be a good decision. Overall, I highly recommend the place. The service was great, and atmosphere was intimate yet fun, and the food was hard to beat. If you're looking for adventure, fun, and great food, give it a shot.
Pros: Food, atmosphere... did I say food?
Cons: Hard to find your way in at first

I went with a group of three to Marco's last night. It was my first visit in a couple years. I'm happy to report that the food is still exceptional. In the past few weeks I've been to several fine restaurants in Seattle, including Crush, Marjorie, Tavolata, Qube & Amber. My favorite remains Marco's. I love the casual, cozy, atmosphere. The service was spot on and the food was great. The fried sage leaves with dipping sauces was a great starter. I loved the pork chop, it was thick and cooked to perfection. My friends thoroughly enjoyed their entrees of Muscles & Clams and Mahi Mahi. It was a thoroughly enjoyable dinning experience and I look forward to returning to this long-standing, neighborhood eatery.
Pros: Food, Atmosphere, Service
Cons: Parking

We often go to the Lake Union Joeys (Bellevue location too) with my wife, children and friends. The food is always outstanding with a great and fun selection. The view is amazing and the service has never been anything other than awesome. The staff is always extremely friendly too.
I have got to say though . . . the waitresses are BEYOND SMOKING HOT! Holy cow!!! How can Joey's find so many totally gorgeous girls? Not only are they absolutely beautiful but they they wear short skirts, killer dresses, high heels, etc. It's hard to keep your eyes on the table.
Please visit if you haven't already. You will not be disappointed.
Pros: Hot Waitresses
Cons: None

Nells food is as good or better then any restaurant in Seattle and I have tried most all of them. The food is continental / Northwest, and has complex flavors and ingredients but is not too heavy. Unlike downtown, you can actually park in their lot or nearby quite easily. Although you should call for a reservation, they often have space even calling the same day. As other reviewers have mentioned, the place isn't "Hip" but it's quite comfortable and I've always had excellent service.
Pros: Food, Value, Parking

First, I must start off by saying that Geneva is by far the best restaurant I have ever dined at. I have traveled around the globe, and across the US, and have dined in various high class restaurants, but Geneva Restaurant has been the best. They indubitably have the most amazing, and delicious food I have ever tasted. Service exceeded all of my expectations. The staff was very kind and I have no complaints. The chef actually came out and greeted us after our meal; it was a splendid. All in all Geneva was a spectacular experience. The next time I visit Seattle Geneva will most definatley be my first stop.
Pros: Amazing service, spectacular food, wonderful & inviting atmosphere.

The District has several specials on their menu that varies nightly. I have personally had their pasta special several times and it has always been excellent. If you're an adventerous type and like to try different dishes then this may be the best place around. The Bartenders are fast and friendly. If you're staying in the Hotel DECA then the District lounge is a must for dinner and drinks.
Pros: Great food, super service,
Cons: Could up their Bourbon selection with Bookers and/or K*** Creek
