I like to think of Top Banana as our little neighborhood secret. Located across from Ballard High School, Top Banana is a great place to go for cheap seasonal fruits and veggies. There is not a lot of organic around, but if you can't put that aside, there is plenty to pick from at great prices. Alex and I tend to walk away with two to three bags chocked full of produce for under twenty bucks. more

Glad we found this listing - great service and a great tree. Found the same trees nearby for $3 a foot more! They know their trees and were really nice. more

Trees 11/29/2005

Top Banana stocks Christmas Trees around the holiday season. I recommend supporting the local Ballard store. I purchased a wreath from them last year and it lasted for a few months. They also have great produce, but the store is closed for a few months during winter. more

Appealing Produce at Appealing Prices! 10/8/2005

Top Banana,l located on the corner of 15th NW and 65th, across the street form Ballard High School in Ballard, is tops! The name says is all. This is an excellent, reasonably priced seasonal fresh produce stand. They are open 9:00 am to 7:00 pm until November 5th this year(2005). They will open again for fresh produce sometime during the first week of February. During the winter, beginning on the first day after Thanksgiving until Christmas, they sell Christmas trees, garlands, and wreaths. Top Banana is a good community member as well as an excellent place to get quality produce for a decent price. more

The perfect little produce stand 8/18/2005

I'm a die-hard Ballardite, so I might be slightly biased, but I think that the Top Banana fruit and vegetable stand is AWESOME. They have fresh produce, great prices and very nice employees. The produce there is as good as at Pike's Market and it's definitely a lot less crowded. Oh, how I wish it was open all year 'round! Hurry up and get there before summer's over and you have to wait for next year! more
