I recently purchased a 2010 Honda Fit Sport from Spreen and it was a great experience! I used USAA's car buying service so my first contact was with Freddy Flores in the internet dept. Freddy was great from start to finish. He was prompt in his e-mail replies and at the dealership everything was straightforward and no hassle/pressure. Todd in finance was also a pleasure to work with on my purchase(note: I was pre-approved by Cap One so I was not financed by the dealership-they couldn't beat my loan rate). I had done a ton of research on buying a new car so I had read all about peoples various experiences across the USA. I can honestly say that my experience at Spreen was overwhelmingly positive and unbelievably easy. It was worth the drive from Los Angeles. Spreen not only gave me the best guaranteed price on my car( they crushed any quotes from any dealer in California) but their professionalism and service were a welcome bonus. He knew the quirks of my '91 Civic, and was able to fix my problem the simple way, unlike my last mechanic who took the engine apart unnecessarily. I tried to find a good mechanics to fix my Honda accord. I did a lot of research online and called 5-6 shops. Finally I went to Honda Specialties on the 15th. You may miss the shop if you go there the first time. The sign was not very visible in the late afternoon. I left my car there in the late morning and received a call from them indicating the problems. They offered me the options to fix it and explained the difference. I was happy to be asked first instead of billing me without notice. They also refill the fluids for me to make sure they are all good. Give them a call and ask questions before heading to any body shop. more

Greg Marshall, of Greg's Honda Specialties, is a perfectionist. He does things right! For example, unlike a lot of mechanics, he pays attention to such things as engine belt tightness (too tight, other parts will wear out faster). When he does a diagnosis you know it's correct. He learned Hondas through racing them. Greg will save you money whenever he can. As another example, when I needed a new CV joint/axle he happened to have one from another "parts" car that was as good as new, and didn't charge me for it. He generally likes to take on the periodic maintenance of a car, according to the car's maintenance schedule, and does it for far less than a Honda dealer would.
