Great Doctors & Nurses, Horrible Business Staff 9/6/2012

I thought I could overlook how horrible the Business Office, because of how phenomenal the Drs. are. Unfortunately, $600 later (and I have full insurance) for a mistake on their part, no one cared. They were rude and down right unethical in their practice. I would not recommend them at all. more

Very Happy 10/20/2009

We moved here recently and was looking for above average office since we had an awesome doctor in Florida. We were referred to another ped. office that was highly recommended and was extremely disappointed. We found Carolina Kids and have been very happy with Dr. Foor - he is patient with our questions, takes time with us and our son. He is direct but that is what we prefer. more

Doctors for Kids 8/15/2005

The practice is large enough that a last minute appointment is easy to get and small enough to get to know the staff and doctors well. The waiting room is filled with toys, a tv that constantly plays kid friendly movies and fish tanks. You are greeted with a smile when you walk in. Then after a short wait, a friendly nurse calls you to the back. They talk with parents and the children. Height, weight, temperature, etc is taken, then you are shown to a nicely decorated exam room. Soon, the doctor comes in to check on your child. The doctors remain calm even with the crankiest of children. more

  • Dr. Tanaka completed his pediatric residency at Martin Luther King/Charles R. Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he was honored with an award for outstanding patient care. Dr. Tanaka has served as an assistant clinical professor of pediatrics for the University of North Carolina Medical School. He moved to North Carolina in 1990, and spent his first three years in Mooresville before joining Carolina Kids in 1993. Dr. Tanaka is married and has a son currently in college. He has received a first-degree black belt in Tae Kwan Do and recently received his second-degree black belt in Aikido. Dr. Tanaka also enjoys traveling and cooking.
