The Mad Platter provides a unique dining atmosphere in an old restored home. The menu offers eclectic dining experiences and changes often. The atmosphere is very romantic and perfect for special evenings. The Bananas Foster (when available) is to die for! Reservations are recommended so call ahead!

I had seen a review of Savarino's in the Nashville scene and I wanted to try them out because they were supposedly authentic Italian. We went to their store and the owner really IS Italian, literally off the boat. He used to work in the biggest pastry store in NYC and he is from Staten Island transplanted to Nashville. The pastries and cookies there are very very tasty and if you go to Savarino's on a Friday or Saturday they have their own fresh baked prosciutto bread. The prices are very reasonable and the people in the store are really nice. Whenever I'm in the area I try to get to Savarino's.

While I had one of the most amazing sandwiches of my life at Atlanta Bread Company (chargrilled chicken pesto!), the soup was thin and bland. While dining, the building filled up with smoke and was constantly humid and muggy, which I assume is not a normal occurrance, but still made for a very unpleasant dining experience. The staff working the registers were untrained and slow, but the food preparation was very quick.
