We didn’t stay in the hotel, or eat in the restaurant, or enjoy drinks in the bar, but we did take a quick elevator ride up 55 stories to get a view from atop the Reunion Tower in Dallas, Texas.
To go to the observation desk cost $2 for adults. It wasn’t a very popular tourist destination on a Tuesday mid-day – so we had plenty of room (and time) to enjoy the view. The inside of the observation desk area was sort of run down. The tower was built in the late 1970s and it doesn’t appear to have been updated since. But the view from outside was very nice. You could easily see the area where Kennedy was assassinated from this view.
If you want something cheap to do and want to see views of the downtown Dallas area, then I recommend checking out the Reunion Tower at the Hyatt Regency.

I really like this little theatre. They offer interesting movies instead of all those big, dumb Hollywood ones. I like the fact I can see something different. I also found it to be in a very nice part of town with good restaurants and plenty of free parking. Don't hesitate to go there to see something a little off the beaten path.

This is the best place for cultured films. They have average movie pricing, but if you get on their mailing list you get invites to special screenings and are offered special discounts. They sometimes even have quirky contests. If you like independent/foreign films, this is the place to see them on a big screen! I absolutely adore this theater, and everyone that works here is so nice!

The two largest auditoriums, built on a radius curve, boast a couple of the area's biggest screens. Each screen is 32 feet by 75 feet, curved, with 600 comfortable high-backed rocking-chair seats set at an angle to match it. The result is a pristine sightline and a nonpareil viewing experience.

The Inwood Theater is a good, old time movie theater. It has a little cafe in it and good movies. It sometimes shows movies that cannot be found elsewhere. The feel is one of a kind, but you will have to pay a bit more than at other movie theaters. You can see it be the big neon sign out front that looks like a striped pillar. You should try it to see if you like the style of this theater.

This movie theater is a great place to go see a movie. The location is great and it is right next to some places like Starbucks's where you can get a drink. They even have ice cream in the lobby. There is an elevator that takes you up to the second floor where the movies are. They often have films that are not showing at other places. The only drawback is that the screens are a little small.

The UA Galaxy Stadium 10 at one time had the largest screen in Texas. I don't know if it still holds that title, but the screen hasn't gotten any smaller. I like the UA theaters because they have Regal Crown Club memberships that let you earn points for ticket and concession purchases. With the points you earn free tickets and free concessions. This theater is located at 635 and Jupiter Road.

The Angelika Film Center host shops and a popular movie theater, but the cafe inside is an attraction in and of itself, offering an assortment of American bistro fare such as cheese plates, stuffed fried olives and spinach-artichoke dip, as well as soups, salads and sandwiches. A comfortable lounge is ideal for snacking before the movie, and goodies are welcome inside the theater. The cafe also offers a beer and wine.
