I just wish all of these bad reviews could force them to perform better. I can so relate to most of these bad reviews regarding Atmos. I find it hard to believe that Atmos can not perform a gas pressure test. I was forced to call out a plumber that will charge me $650 to perform this test before Atmos will reconnect. A gas company should be able to perform a gas pressure test. If a leak is found, then call plumber. more

Impossible scheduling 11/14/2014

We rebuilt our gas line and set an appointment 2pm on day of line inspection to have gas reconnected. We were told tech would be by by 11:59pm to reconnect. Tech did come by at 11:35 pm but never knocked or rang doorbell (I'm setting 4 feet from front door til 1am). So now we had to reschedule next day - again promised tech would arrive by 11:59pm - who knows if i will actually get a door knock. So now I am sitting at home - can't go anywhere - waiting for a tech to maybe show up since I can't even any sort of scheduled time for tech to come by. more

Ridiculous Customer Service 6/15/2012

Snobs!!!! For the first time in 15 years, my gas was shut off. Pay, set appointment between 8am-noon. 4 hours, no call. So, I call, well, we don't know when they will get there. And I'm paying for the service call! You have to be kidding. What legitimate company sets up a 4 hour window, can't make it and doesn't really care? Atmos Energy! Atmos - "we'll take your money, but don't you dare get it cut off, because we will treat you like a piece of garbage." more

12+ hours - no gas 3/21/2012

Atmos contractors turned off gas this morning, said Atmos here 6 hours ago to restore. No show, customer service says after 5, emergency only. No issue w/bill, just inconvenient for them after 5. Utility commission needs a call. more

Good: They have gas.... Bad: We had our service cut off because we had a credit card lost. We set up automatic deduct and we forgot to call them to switch it over to the new card. Don't get me wrong we made the original mistake.. Improvements: We have a sick baby and it was tough to not have water for a day but we understood... then we were not here when the service guy arrived to turn it back on. So we called and asked to give us another try.. The girl on the other end of the so called customer service line said " sorry ma'am you should have been there.. we don't have another appointment until monday " It's thursday.... Other: That's okay everyime I have shot I'll tell me story I will.. who knows with a sick baby involved we might even make the contact 8 folks.. more

Poor Sevices Very Bad 2/28/2011

Move in to my new place with 3 girls & i never know i would go throw sev. problems paid my deposit of $90 dollors. Been talking to csr & supr since feb 16 & my last talk was today feb 28,2011 I let go today because i been talk to like shit since i been calling feb 22 i told them my kids dnt hav hot water r heat & sorry just not getting my kids what they need it hurt so bad see my kids & me go throw this than csr say someone cal in abou sev & im like who wil cal knowing the new place i move into was 2mos no one in there i send my lease over to atmos proof csr today feb 28,2011 but the fax # was not working 214 550 9228 so they ask me to email to t.johnson@atmosengry.com i pray no family wil go throw this ps Jackson family more

After being a great customer for over 40 years, we move and had the gas turned off. 3 months later we are renting the house that we moved from. Atmos wants $65.00 plus tax to turn the service back on. While the other ulities only charge $15-$20.00 to return service. Shame on you at-mos, you are at-best the most non caring ulitity company here in the City Of Dallas. I hope that we can get at-least another company to come to our city so we can have have a choice where we spend our money at more

Atmos Energy turns Dallas into Hell 2/20/2009

After being loyal and good customers to first TXU Energy and then Atmos Energy they turned off the gas without warning. Appearantly this happens a lot to many customers. We have never had this happen to us before with any other company utility or not. They are extremely difficult to deal with and they treat their customer in a deplorable way, because they can. They have monopoly in Dallas. Since they bought up TXU Dallas has slowly turned into a hell for the residents who still use gas. It is time to switch to electric heating folks. more

Atmos energy corp 6/16/2005

Atmos Energy Company has competitive rates. They have wonderful customer service as well. If you switch to them from another company, they will reward you. Also, they give you options for paying monthly based on your usage, or paying based on an estimated usage. They also allow you to pay your bills online, if you choose. And, they are fabulous about solving problems, should you need them. more
