My wife and I met a friend for dinner at Mas last night and had one of the most enjoyable meals in memory. The service was relaxed yet attentive and the food was impeccably prepared. We had a combination of appetizers including ceviche and flank steak thinly sliced atop soft cheese (can't recall the kind) and sliced heirloom tomatoes. For the main course, I had an enormous and perfectly cooked rib-eye steak with mashed potatos, asperagus, and mushrooms. My wife had Mas' signature dish, the pork tenderloin. Both were exquisite. The desserts included flan, creme brule, and a chocolate tart. Out of this world...
If you're looking for a great restaurant in the Wicker Park area for a date or dinner with friends, you will be more than happy to do it at Mas and it probably won't be the last time!
