When i went to santa fe day spa i thought it was wonderful and it was a great place to come too. i had my hair down many times from many of the girls and i can say going to many salons this is the only one that has stylists that do know what they are doing and work very hard to make me feel comfortable. the front desk girls do a great job and always make sure to say hello or asking me how i was doing. i enjoy every service i got and i cant wait for the next. also for the review that was given about heather, i think that was very rude and over the top. i have had heather do my hair and she does a great job, her trainning comes from floridas best schools. I can say that i will tell anyone that wants to know about santa fe day spa that its a great place .
Pros: beautiful place

Good: I loved my hairdresser. He was a good listener and put me at ease from the getgo. He seemed very educated.. Bad: Price, but quality was there. I guess in this day and time it would be great to find something cheaper.. Improvements: I wish they had had cokes but they did offer me hot tea, which was nice.. Other: Really thought the people were real nice. Seemed like they went out of their way to make me feel comforterable..

Leslie is one the best colorists and stylists I have ever had. She uses goldwell color, which holds better than any other brand (especially with red). The salon has a great atmosphere and everyone who works there is really nice. Best of all, her rates are very competitive. Oh, and Leslie is so nice and I really enjoy the time I spend with her every 6 weeks.

I have visited numerous hair salons in my lifetime but none equal the service and professionalism that you receive at this salon. The stylists stay up to date on the latest cuts and styles. The shampoo assistant is the best. I looked forward to her relaxing shampoo service. This is a rather small salon so it lends itself to personalized service. They sell salon quality products. They have extended evening hours and are open a partial day on Saturday.

I have known the stylist Julie at Cahaba Salon for the past two years. When I went to the shop I was going on a prayer. My last stylist had butchered my hair! She sat me down went over every option and then worked magic. I noticed the last review said that they had called and not a single person answered. If you didn't leave a massage for the girls that work there to call you back how were they supposed to. The main reason I enjoy going to that shop is because she doesn't stop while cutting my hair to answer the phone etc.. She makes me her first priority. which is very refreshing since the stylist who ruined my hair was on his phone constantly. Plus I have left messages before and have always gotten a return call . Cahaba Salon is definately one of the best salons in town and still a bargain!
Pros: relaxing atmosphere
Cons: The owner could do some updates on the salon.

The Tutwiler is nice for an older hotel, however, it wouldn't be the best place for a family outing.
I stayed on a closed off floor, which was nice and offred a very sparse breakfast and cofee. The bar downstairs had a friendly staff. The rest of the staff was attentive and friendly.
The air was never just right always either freezing or too warm. I guess it's the curse of an old hotel. The place was fairly fun though. I like old places.
Pros: Friendly Staff, Old Hotel, Location
Cons: A/C, Food, Lack of Night life

I was at Bodywork this past week and it was great. The full body smoothie has become one of my favorite treats, along with a half hour massage. I love the small, intimate setting of this spa and the prices are really reasonable. I'm not one of those women who can just spend my money like it grows on trees so the pricing is really important for me. I'm already planning my next day off for another little treat.
