I first took my daughter to the McWane center the day after she turned one. I was so excited to see that they had a special area just for kids under 4. It has a water table, an over sized garden with gigantic mushrooms and corn stalks with tunnels to climb in and out, a jungle gym play zone with three levels (this is like the ones at McDonalds but more educational), a imagination room with mini grocery store, library, cars and trucks, and tables to work puzzles from 3 pieces to 100 pieces. It also has an area for babies under two with huge styrofoam blocks to climb on, block stackers, and an assortment of educational based toys. On the lower level there is a mini aquarium that my daughter has always been fascinated by. It definitely is a place for kids of all ages.

More
P. F. Changs is one of my favorite places to eat in the Birmingham area and it is my favorite Chinese slanted restaurant. I eat there about once a month and have tried several things off the menu. I have never been disappointed in anything I have ordered, but my favorite entree so far is the Crispy Honey Shrimp – So good. I also recommend trying the Lettuce Wraps as an appetizer.
The people are great. From the time you enter the door until the check is brought to your table, people are kind and processional. You tend to develop favorites when it comes to servers, because each puts their own spin on the sauce they mix at your table for dipping various foods.
Highly recommended.

I have been going to Monica now for almost a year because I was losing my hair and now almost all my hair has grown back YEA. It is because of her I have a head of full hair. I started with a full lace wig that last about a year. I was going every 2 weeks becuase I really didn't know how to take care of it. And about 6 months I purchase a SECOND UNIT. Now I am wearing a weaving with only about 5 tracks of her very own collection of Virgin Indian Hair. She has always been able to fit me in and always very professional. She has a long extensive clientele and doesn't take any foolishness. I am glad because I have been in salons with bad customer service. If you are looking for great customer service for a HAIR GURU and looking for someone who has Beautiful indian lace wigs or hair Please give her a call. She is the only stylist on top of THE HAIR GAME!! Any questions I can personally stand for her business ethics and service send me an email donnathecpa@gmail. Also remember when clients can have there way and can't get what they want the will trash someones credibility. Take a look at her website and each review and make your decision. You will get what you are looking for!!
Pros: The best hair stylist
Cons: Usually booked up

When i went to santa fe day spa i thought it was wonderful and it was a great place to come too. i had my hair down many times from many of the girls and i can say going to many salons this is the only one that has stylists that do know what they are doing and work very hard to make me feel comfortable. the front desk girls do a great job and always make sure to say hello or asking me how i was doing. i enjoy every service i got and i cant wait for the next. also for the review that was given about heather, i think that was very rude and over the top. i have had heather do my hair and she does a great job, her trainning comes from floridas best schools. I can say that i will tell anyone that wants to know about santa fe day spa that its a great place .
Pros: beautiful place
Cons: very busy

I have been a fan of Surin West ever since my first visit there several years ago. The Thai restaurant has lots of different choices on the menu and I have liked 90% of the ones I have tried. They have plenty of spicy food for people like me who can't get their food hot enough. They also have sushi and a decent desert menu. Overall, one of my favorite places to eat.

If you are looking for a great cake, look no further. I have had a few cakes from Savage's, and every one has been fantastic. Decorated beautifully and tastes fantastic. Not only that, they also have some pretty amazing cookies and pastries, too. If you want a nice dessert, and you want it done right, this is the place to go. Consequently, it can be quite busy and I recommend you call ahead if you want something complicated.

Homewood Toy and Hobby has a nice selection of toys for newborns to older kids and a big section for adult hobbyists (especially model builders). You won't find your run of the mill plastic toys here - this is more of a store for educational toys and European imports. It has a huge selction of Thomas the Train kits and parts and a big choice of upscale trikes and riding toys.

More
We moved to Birmingham two weeks before we found out my daughter was on her way. I didn't have an OBGYN in town and picked Henderson and Walton because of their high profile and relationship to St. Vincents. (After all that is where babies come from). On my first visit I sat down with a nurse and she explained the entire process to me. How many visits I would have, the frequency and duration of the visits, the costs etc. I then met Dr. Britt for the first time and I thought she was very kind and attentive. Over the course of my pregnancy I rotated out and met with the other 5 doctors in the group. I was very happy to realize that they let you set your own appointment in the book (instead of the receptionist choosing for you) and that they were open on Saturdays. When I delivered Dr. Ingram was on call. I thought she was the kindest person I had ever met. I look forward to my next pregnancy and seeing these people on a more regular basis again.

My son and I had a blast in Homewood Hobby looking around at all the different toys and trying them out as well. A very nice little toy store. A hidden gem of sorts.
