I went to the Tavern on the summit Friday with a group of about 15. The food was good but nothing special. We asked for our checks at 6:45. Our waiter confused the checks and when we asked him to correct them he became very rude (he was on the strange side to begin with) so we asked to see the manager. While waiting for the manager (it took him 10 min) another waiter who was helping to clear our table accused one of the women in our group of trying to leave without paying. Since she had already given Rob (rude waiter #1) her money and was patiently waiting on change his accusation was upsetting. When Cody the manager finally arrived he reluctantly apologised and told us that they were both great waiters. The manager checked on our checks and brought a few people their checks back and told us our waiter was right behind him with the rest. After waiting for another 20 minutes we flagged down another waitress and asked if she could find out how much longer it was going to be. Rob the waiter soon came back and said, You wanted me?' We asked for change and cards back he walked off. Soon the manager came back and said that he asked our waiter not to come back to our table. He then asked how much change we were supposed to get back. He made a big show of giving back some change. Two of us were still missing cards and he promised to look for them. He returned about 15 minutes later and said he had looked everywhere and they did not have our cards. He suggested we should look on our table and in our stuff. He was less than friendly at this point. I assured him that I didn't have my card. He went to look again. When he returned he again accused us of having our cards. At this point we had been waiting for well over an hour and I was quite upset. I demanded my card back and told him I was not leaving until I got it. After another long wait he returned with our cards. He made a

I agree that this is a snobby place but they have earned it by the reputaion and the well run...

I agree that this is a snobby place but they have earned it by the reputaion and the well run dinning and bar. A great place to meet and greet. Food is great and drinks are made just right.

This is an awesome place for great sushi in Birmingham located at a very convienant location in 5points!! My two friends & I dined in there after the Journey concert this past weekend, we drove from Huntsville. This was where I tried sushi for the very first time in 2001 & became addicted! One in our group had never tried it until then & fell in love with it as well!! The service was pretty good, we ended up sitting at the bar & the sushi chefs were extremely quick & the food was delicious!! My battery went dead in my camara so I was unable to take a photo and one of the chefs took his camara out & took a picture of the 3 of us! And told us to visit this page on-line! I ALWAYS go & visit when I am in Birmingham! I recommend the restaurant 100%!
Pros: Ambience & sushi-thumbs up!
Cons: Service could have been better but ended up being satisfactory after we moved seats.

The waiters are incredible in timing the delivery of each course. Their suggestions of menu items are always excellent. This restaurant not only does steaks well, but every item on the menu is amazing. We have enjoyed excellent attention from each person we have had contact with in this restaurant. We always have a date on our calendar for a future visit..

The Blue Monkey is a super fun place to hang out in Birmingham. Their martinis are fabulous! They are open Tuesday through Saturday and have Happy Hour everyday. Tuesday is my favorite night; they have $5 martinis (that are still large). The food is good and the atmosphere is very upbeat and fun. Great, upscale place to hang out with friends.

Despite the fact that I used to live 3 minutes down the road, I had never been to this theater until a few days ago, and that was only because they were the only theater around showing "Running with Scissors".
I always had an impression that this was going to be a snooty, lame, expensive theater. I was wrong! From my experience, the people were very nice and the prices were very fair, especially on concessions.
This is a fun theater to visit, because it's so colorful! The decorum is very modern and fun to look at. And there are TONS of stalls in the bathrooms, which is a very good thing. There are 10 screens, and plenty of seats...which brings me to my one and only real complaint.
They boast on the website that there are 48 inches of leg room in front of each seat. Which is true, yes. BUT, that's only until someone sits down in the seat in front of you. The seats tend to automatically recline, kind of like airline seats, which is a bit annoying. It doesn't leave you (and the person behind you) very much leg room, in my opinion. But that may not bother anyone else.
All in all, this is a great theater. Very clean, and there is a parking deck next to it so parking is never a problem.

My friends and I love going and spending a night at Zydeco. We always have such great fun listening to the bands and having some drinks. It is always very crowded but thats just more people to meet. If you do not like to be in tight places wth tons of people...then you should probably not go.

Me and a couple of friends just wanted to try something different to celebrate one of our friends birthday. So I suggested The Yellow Rose ive heard about the club that it had bull riding an that seems like fun. But Im unable to get in contact with someone for the hours of operation.True enough we are african-american an has never been to a country western bar but we just want to have fun. we just want to try a different atmosphere we have never been to a country western bar this will be our first.I'm sure this will be fun so can anyone email me some information I will greatly appreciate it.
