I really like the casual clothes here. They're hip, have style & offer something different that you won't find at Nordy's or Barcelinos. They have some great brands for polos & smokin' shoes. I have seen some funky sport coats here to wear with jeans & other casual slacks. I can't say that I've heard of too many people buying suits here. \r
\r
The sales staff is really friendly & helpful. They seem to know their stuff. Parking wasn't the easiest but, hey, it's a big city so it is always timing. This store is certainly worth checking out.\r
\r
Bottom line: You can always walk out of here with a renewed sense of style.\r

Pros: The people, style, & selection
Cons: Always parking downtown but you get that everywhere

David Lawrence is such a great store. I?ve been shopping there for a few years now and have to say that it?s always been a great experience. I?m in there often and the people have always been really nice and happy to help. What?s so great is they know an awful lot about fashion. They know the newest trends and what?s on the way. The women?s section is awesome and the men?s selection is of course fantastic as well. When it comes to quality, David Lawrence has the absolute best. I?d rather pay a bit more for something that is that perfect item, one that looks great on and feels great on, than end up with something close. Thanks and keep up the fantastic work.

I?m enthused about writing this review after doing so verbally so often over the past many years; to those who are friends, colleagues, and even people who ?pardon me? while walking through downtown Seattle. David Lawrence offers style, identity, and an experience above all others. Depending on the occasion I'm shopping for, though it's typically the non-occasion, I'm able to find pieces that are both unique and impressionable; pieces that always receive attention and compliment. Whether on the hunt for jeans and tees for a casual out and about, button up shirts and sport coats for a late night outing, or suits, dress shirts, and ties to negotiate the next big company merger, you?ll be sure to find something amazing. They offer designer collections that exemplify the genius, culture, and allure from all over the world, such as Italy and London, and include top designer labels from here in the States. Their collections consist of Rock and Republic, United, Ungaro, Moschino, Versace, and Dolce and Gabbana ? to name the labels I?m most familiar with. Even though other nearby stores offer some of the same labels, such as R&R and Sevens, you'll find styles only at David Lawrence where the differences will be ""awe"" worthy. More than just the clothing is the experience in purchasing them. The associates at David Lawrence offer a great experience. First of all, they are knowledgeable in what they are selling. More than how it looks, it?s how it makes you feel. They know the story behind the label. In my experiences, not only are they skilled at putting pieces together, they are honest about what looks good on me; even if that means I don?t buy it. Furthermore I never feel bad for just looking or leaving the fitting room half an hour later empty handed. Ever feel guilty not buying something when shopping for high-end? well, anything? Whether you?re looking for a piece that defines beauty, sophistication, style, or class ? David Lawrence should be your next stop.

I discovered David Lawrence a little over a year ago and it is by far my favorite place to get great clothes. The first time I went there to get a suit for an occasion and the owner stayed after hours to help me find exactly the right suit. Since then I have bought another suit, some dress shirts, ties, etc. I always get great help when I go in -- they have a lot of knowledge in fashion but they're not pushy about it. Everything I have bought there has been of impeccable quality. I highly recommend David Lawrence because their clothes are great and the service above and beyond.
Pros: cool clothes, helpful staff

I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but I wanted to address the complaint someone posted about their return policy. Most places (all the way down to bargain stores like Old Navy) have ""all sales final"" policies on their SALE merchandise. If there's a hole in the shirt, that's probaby the reason you're getting it for cheaper, and if something's on sale you should look it over to make sure you want it before you buy it. In my experience with David Lawrence, I have found their service fair and helpful. I usually see the owners when I go in and I can say that they work hard to take care of their customers. They always seem willing to spend as much time as necessary to help me find exactly the right thing. Aside from that, their clothes are awesome. They always have cutting edge fashion that is hard to find elsewhere in Seattle. Don't pass this store by because of one review. If you want high quality, high fashion, and cutting edge trends, go to David Lawrence!
Pros: great clothes, nice atmosphere, free parking

I have shopped here a number of times before. And until yesterday I would have told you that this is a great store with an eclectic selection of clothes and helpful, friendly sales people. Until yesterday. And here is why:\r
\r
A few days ago I bought a t-shirt at their Bellevue store and when I got home I found two holes in the fabric. The shirt was on sale when I bought it but since it was faulty I expected to be able to return it for a refund or store credit without any trouble. So I took it back to the store (Yes, you guessed it: today) to exchange it.\r
\r
Let me tell you - I was in for a big surprise! They flat out refused to take the shirt back because ""it was a sale item and sales are final"". Now I could understand that if I had bought the shirt half a year ago or if I had worn the shirt or if this was the salvation. But it was about a week ago and this is obviously one of the higher end boutiques in the area. I had expected more of them.\r
\r
Now if you've been to the store and you're thinking something like ""really? I can't imagine THEM being like that"" --- that's exactly how I felt. I couldn't believe it. I am utterly disappointed to say the least and have no intention of ever going back there.

Out of the four places in the northwest to purchase men's designer clothing (Nordstrom,Barney's,Mario's,and David Lawrence) David Lawrence is unique. Nordstrom is really not all that great, because sometimes it's hard to get some one to help you and the true designer clothing is limited. However, they do have the best return policy. Barney's is for snobs, because the people that work there are stupid, fickle, and jerks. Mario's is awesome....by far the best place in the northwest to buy high-end luxury designer clothing. But David Lawrence is cool too. But they are very different from Mario's. David Lawrence focuses more on hip designer labels, that are a little more flamboyant. While Mario's carries Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, and Emenegildo Zegna. David Lawrence carries D&G,Versace Collection,Just Cavalli and Z-Zegna.....the less expensive youth brands. And that is why David Lawrence is unique to the northwest, they are the only place you can purchase a pair of D&G jeans or a Moschino tee (they carry designer youth labels, which no one else in the area does). By far the most affordable place in the northwest to buy designer clothes too....because they carry less expensive brands. Also the staff has been very helpful and nice every time I stop in. My only complaint is their return policy...it's really bad. Great place though overall.

Not being a habitual complainer I dont normally bother with these reviews, however the ""other"" D Lawrence review irritated me enough to join and write.
I found the service exceptional. Jason was first class in every way, ensuring I felt comfortable with my purchases while at the same time suggesting new looks. When I sis allow myself to be ""talked into"" a purchase, it was invariably the one that received the most praise.
For those who confuse enthusiasm, a love of fashion and an outgoing personality with ""commission driven pushiness"", stick to Nordstrom.
Pros: excellent selection, superb staff
