Comfortable, great service waxing + facial salon 11/8/2010

I went here because of a Groupon, as with many other customers. While this is an expensive habit, she was super helpful and attentive and made me feel relaxed about getting my first wax. She told me what to look for if I choose to ever get waxed at a different place in the future, which I liked. I got a glass of wine while I waited and also some numbing cream. In addition to general hair removal in one's nether regions, she also does facials and other skin care, and waxing of legs and other services. April was super friendly and I liked her a lot. I was definitely put at ease by her. I would definitely recommend this to my friends. I only gave this 4 stars because the price is a lot for a student! She does do 15% off Thursdays, and 20% off if you review her online, but it's still a large chunk of cash. more

A week ago was the first time I was ever waxed and I was really nervous about the ordeal (especially being a brazilian!). However, I wanted to try it out and groupon was a great way to do so. April really knows what she is doing, makes you feel at ease, and talks you through the entire process. She also has a great method for reducing pain (coughing!) and I am really happy with the results. She tells you what to expect if you want to go somewhere else, too! Great experience. more

Her products are of very good quality. She never reuses wax or wax sticks (VERY IMPORTANT), and she educates her clients, new or otherwise, on the proper waxing practices. Her place is very clean and she is very knowledgable. Give April a chance, you will not regret it!! more

  • Winkin Twinkies Hair Removal is located in Montrose, at Touch of Red, convenient to Houston and all surrounding areas. I also have clients from The Woodlands to Galveston. The facility is very clean, yet casual, and when clients walk in, they're greeted with a warm welcome and offered a beverage.

    I use a wax from the South Pacific. It's a fabulous product and, most importantly, less painful than other hair removal wax. A hard wax version is used for smaller areas like the bikini and underarm. Strip wax is used for larger areas. I work on men and women, and all the waxing products I use are very gentle. My specialty is Brazilian waxing for men and women.

    I put forth every effort to make every client comfortable and happy with their results, while giving the info needed for after care. A Winkin Twinkies Hair Removal service menu may be found on my Web site.
