Best Dog Daycare and Boarding Facility in Chicago 7/1/2008

Chuck has been attending Tucker Pup's for daycare and occasional boarding ever since we moved to Chicago in the summer of 2006. Not only does he love the facility and the people, but it is always very clear that the staff loves Chuck, too, and they are all very attuned to his habits and ways. I have complete trust and confidence in Joel and his team, and I appreciate that there is always someone available to give me a current update on his activity and mood. Leaving town is so much less stressful and guilt-inducing for me since I know that Tucker Pup's is Chuck's Disneyworld. Pros: great staff, state of the art, clean facility more

Far and away my favorite Chicago dog activity center 6/7/2008

I trust Tucker Pup's implicitly with my dog. I am enormously grateful to Joel Spainhour and his staff for the caring way they have looked after Lyric on numerous occasions over the past year. Lyric has been boarded seven times, been a regular visitor to Doggie Day Care, and completed the Polite Puppy training. My interactions with the knowledgeable TP staff have greatly improved my ability to provide my pet with the most positive environment possible. Their only agenda is to foster the creation of settings in which dogs can thrive physically and psychologically. I may drive back to Chicago from my new home in Wisconsin just so I can board Lyric at Tucker Pup's! more

We are thrilled with Biggie's daycare and boarding experience. Once a very guarded dog wary of strangers and new places, Biggie is ALL WAGS on our way in and out Tucker Pup's, each and every time. more

Doggie Day Care 5/13/2008

I am very pleased with the care provided for my sweet dog Debo. I like to call the first day to check on how he's doing, but after that, I'm comfortable knowing that he's being well looked after. When I did call in that first day, (the last time I left him there--it was not my first) I laughed to myself when I was put on hold and transfered directly to a person that was with him at the moment. That was very professional and comforting. Pros: They get to know the dog Cons: none so far more

Tucker Pup's Boarding 4/28/2008

We have boarded our 15-mos old dog with Tucker Pup's three times to date - the last for 10 days. They helped us work through her slight digestive distress and responded to our emails when we checked in to see how she was doing. When we picked her up, we appreciated the obvious attention and knowledge the staff had of her and how she did during her time with Tucker Pup's. We checked out many other boarding options and again chose Tucker Pup's - tis certain we'll do so again. more

Great dog kennel! 4/23/2008

We boarded our 8 year old Lab here for a week in March 2008. Tucker Pup's is very clean, the staff is very professional and courteous (and they love dogs!), the dog play area is HUGE, the dogs can play all day and get plenty of exercise, feeding instructions are followed precisely (so your dog won't look like Porky Pig when he/she comes home), car parking is located right in front of the kennel, and Tucker's is conveniently located off 290 -- great for suburban customers like us. Our Lab Jackie came home clean, relaxed, and happy and settled back into our home routine immediately. This is always a sign Jackie has been well taken care of and has had a good kennel experience. Bosco gives Tucker Pup's 100 wags! 4/23/2008

Our Vizsla, Bosco, has found a wonderful home at Tucker Pup's when he cannot be with us. He is high energy and needs loving people to care for him. He gets both at Tucker Pup's with the level of activity available and the caring people on staff. Bosco gives Tucker Pup's 100 wags! Pros: Option for all-day activity when boarding with "lock up" time only occuring at bedtime, parking available for pet owners, and convienently located near I-90. more

ValiDOGtorian! 4/22/2008

Since moving to the West Loop and using Tucker Pup's services, I have been very pleased. My dog, Scout, has been groomed at Tucker Pup's, and we recently finished the "Good Manners 1" course. Scout tied in first place as class valedictorian (or valiDOGtorian, as I call her). Whenever I take Scout in to Tucker Pup's, the staff are very friendly and kind to me and my dog. After grooming, Scout is clean as a whistle, and always in high spirits. more

Great puppy day care! 4/21/2008

Everyone at Tucker Pup's has always been very helpful and nice. Tyson (our dog) has always been healthy and happy when he comes home after staying with Tucker Pup's. His bath is especially nice before he comes home! Pros: Great bath! more

good experience with haircut, training class, daycare PLUS boarding! 4/10/2008

We have had one haircut (Airedale) and were very pleased with the results. Took a 6-session dog training class (Good Manners I) and got lots of useful information. Also, just boarded our dog there for a few days and she seemed to get along just fine. We really like the play time w/ boarding as it is more play w/ other dogs than she would normally get, and she does like to play. They offer a free daycare session before you board your dog the first time so the dog can get acclimated and know you will be coming back. Very satisfied and we will be bringing her back for haircuts, daycare, and boarding. :) more

Your Dog Will Love It 4/1/2008

My pups, Egypt and Tor, are regular Saturday and Sunday daycare visitors and BIG fans of Tucker Pup's. I am thrilled that their first boarding experience was with Tucker Pup's because the staff and familiar surroundings were essential to helping my pups get passed a very stressful ordeal. I can't say enough for the obvious love and great treatment the pups receive when they are at Tucker Pup's. They are always excited when we drive up to the center; like giddy children going to a toy store. When have also had them groomed at Tucker Pup's and they do a fabulous job! I would not hesitate to board at Tucker Pup's again and sincerely thank Joel and the entire Tucker Pup's crew for the great service they provide. Peace of mind for you and your dog 3/25/2008

I have a very high strung dog and when I pick her up from daycare or boarding, she doesn't whine that much which tellsl me that her anxiety level is low and that she is very comfortable with the facility and the people working there. She's usually pretty tired when I pick her up, so I know that she has been very active during her stay. Pros: parking and service more

Perfect Boarding Experience! 3/3/2008

I Love Tucker Pups - I don't know what I would do without thier services. I recently had to find long term boarding for Chaska and knew that her daycare place (T. Pups) would be perfect. I set up the apointment with no problem and honestly, I was a little worried about her being boarded for so long but the Owner's calls and staff quickly relieved all of my concerns. Chaska had a wonderful time, she is happy, healthy, and ready to go back to visit her friends she made while at Tucker Pups. It's the only place I feel safe taking Chaska and truly appreciate all of the owner's and staffs work. Great Daycare and Boarding 2/20/2008

Tucker Pup's did a great job boarding Oliver while my wife and I were gone for a long weekend. As a puppy we were especially wary of boarding Oliver but Tucker Pup's was perfect. He came home tired and clean and has adjusted back to life and home quite smoothly. more

Tucker Pups - Doggie Paradise 2/13/2008

If you're looking for doggie daycare or boarding services, I highly recommend Tuckerpups. Our dog considers it puppy paradise and can't wait to go there whether it's for a day of play or a few days of "vacation". The staff are friendly, yet firm and really take the time to be sure their canine visitors are having structured fun and are looked after. She doesn't seem to miss us when she's boarded and can't wait to go back.. We've been going to Tuckerpups since our dog was 8 weeks old and now she's almost a year. The service has always been top notch and high quality.. more

Wonderful for dogs 1/19/2008

I have had dogs all of my life, I wish I had Tucker Pups all of that time, but I do now. Their grooming of my two Bichon Frise is wonderful. My dogs look so beautiful when them come out. I also happen to like the fact that they knew my "babies" are in fact dogs. No crystal chandeliers but a huge clean area to play in with other dogs. No fancy furniture for them to sit on, but rather a huge floor that they have room to get away from other dogs and owners can clean readily. One place they had tried early on cleaned their place such that when I picked the dogs up THEY smelled like bleach.... NOT AT TUCKER PUP. They have stayed there over night a few times, not often really, but enough that my dogs aren't afraid to walk into the place. As I mentioned I have had experience with dogs and boarding in the past but Tucker Pup is a place that understands that my dogs are dogs, understands what it takes to encourage normal and natural behavior and have been nothing but honest with me. Best Pet Boarders 1/2/2008

I wanted to thank you so much for allowing Oliver to stay at Tucker Pups completely last minute over the holidays. After not being able to drive home for Christmas with Ollie in the car as planned, flying wasn?t an option since airlines will not allow dogs in the cargo with the cold weather. If it weren?t for you allowing me to bring him in, I wouldn?t have been able to spend Christmas with my family. Thank you so much from me and also from my family! more
