Trugreen offers the same services as the other 'guys' in town. The only negative thing I would say is that when servicing our house, they sometimes forget to close the gate to the backyard, leaving the possibility for our puppy to get out. more

My home technician is Eric and over the years he consistently wants to please me as a valued customer. There are times when we disagree or he does not have the answer, but he has always shown his willingness to pursue anything that I need additional help to resolve the matter. His job requires him to work outdoors and it not easy for him to have an appearance that does not show he is tired and dirty after working all day when I am usually one of his last customers at the end of a day. Regardless he does his best to show himself in the best way he can so his customers can see that he cares how his apprearance looks so he will also take the same careful steps to make sure the job that he does for me as a customer has his best effort. more

Trugreenis the worst!!! 9/8/2012

I have been with this company since it took over the local one I was with for over 15 years. In the last 5 years they have gone from not quite average to extremely AWFUL!!!!!!\r I have more weeds , bugs , bare, and damaged spots than I have grass at this point. I have to show the techs exactly where the problems are or they won't even do the basic bare minimum job. Once I let a weed grow in the middle of my yard just to see how long it would take for them to spray and kill it . It grew over 18" high. Finally the manager was out to talk with me per my request to discuss my dissatifaction and he just pulled it out and gave me a lame excuse for why it was there. They don't stand behind their guarantees about if we let your yard get over run by chinch bugs we'll replace it. I kept thinking they'll get sick of me and do it right but that hasn't happened. Honestly it's back to doing it myself cause I feel all I am paying for is GRIEF! bye bye trugreen hiring someone new on monday! more

TruGreen rip off 10/26/2011

Horrible, horrible company! My lawn looks awful. It is full of weeds, I have chich bug damage which they claim is because of watering issues. I've had them out several times and are told "oh we don't treat that weed or this weed" etc. The last time they were out there were supposed to knock on my door so I could discuss the problem. I saw the guy drive up and park at my neighbor's house. He got out of truck and then not more than 2 minutes later he left. Later when I opened my front door I found a notice saying "sorry he missed me" but he re-treated my yard and everything should be fine. What he didn't realize is I had watched him the whole time. He never even went in my yard and obviously just walked up to my door. In speaking to my neighbors I discovered they had had similar experiences. These rip off artists aren't treating the lawn at all but simply leaving the notice and bill. Do not use this company as they are thieves! more

BBB Rating C- and NOT accredited! 10/19/2011

They don't even deserve 1 star. My lawn looks exactly as it did 5 months ago with even more weeds that have come and filled the dead spots. Their "trushield" is true crap! Fire Ant mounds everywhere! Absolutely no customer service, will not refund your money, and basically the answer I received was well "we have 1000's of other customers that ARE satisfied" whatever Tru Green...Save your money people! Go with a smaller company that NEEDS and WILL WORK HARD to satisfy their customers. Wrote to the BBB about my situation, and surprise surprise...they aren't accredited and have a C- Rating from the BBB. They are scum bags and deserve to be put out of business for their lies and scams. more

Bad Trugreen Review 1/21/2011

HORRIBLE is too nice a word. \r \r They killed $1200 worth of new sod. Tried to upsell me at least 10 times after I prepaid for a years worth of service. They rarely treated the backyard. And now they claim that an additional service ($39) must be paid for or I'll be sent to collections.\r \r There are many other services that do a much better job and have better customer service. After 3 months with a smaller company, my lawn is the greenest on the block. more

Don't waste your money 11/3/2010

Tru Green did nothing to improve my lawn despite using them for 6 months. Lawn is still full of weeds. I called the corporate office who told me a manager would b e calling me and 4 days later nothing. I can use a weed and feed and get better results. The only good thing was the cinch bug treatment. That did work. more

Stay Away from TruGreen 9/1/2010

TruGreen failed to get rid of the weeds in my yard and the brown spots. It was a worthless experience. I followed their yard advice to no avail. Their only solution was more soil testing, which they did before starting the service. It was a mistake to sign up with TruGreen. I'm doing it myself now. Stay away from TruGreen and avoid the unsatisfactory experience. more

Don't use TruGreen 4/29/2010

TruGreen is a horrible company. You will pay a lot of money for NO results. I have had bug problems for the entire time they have been my service provider and I have had to replace my sod twice. They kept convincing me that it was my fault for not watering. I water more than enough, but they will always blame everything on the customer. They promise you the moon and don't do a thing to follow through. DON'T waste your money. Pay a little more for a reputable company!!!!! more

IT IS TIME TO FIND A COMPANY THAT IS RELIABLE AND HONEST 10/5/2009

I am baffled as to why more people haven't written more reviews on this company. I do believe they are a lousy service company, they certainly are not dependable and certainly do not live up to anything they tell you. They can certainly give a sales pitch but when it comes to producing, they rate a b ig fat ZERO. I have used them now for at least two years, recently, they burned my grass really bad, as well as some others, I knew what had happened, others they told them they had brown patch, well they also told me they would replace the grass that was dead, haven't done that either. I called them last monday to tell them even though they had sprayed the first of sept, the obvious weeds had not and are not dying. Going to send someone right out - haven't done that either. Time for a change, Now it is to find another company. Is there any company out there that is dependable and honest. WM more

Twice is enough 12/16/2008

I've used Trugreen two separate times...guess I didn't learn the first time. My lawn looks the same as it did when they started...maybe slightly greener? They promise a beautiful lawn, but when it doesn't happen it is because I didn't water enough, etc. I even paid someone to come out and move all my sprinkler heads to ensure that the lawn was getting the proper amount of water--still full of weeds and bare, thin spots. My advice is to find a lawn you really like and find out who treats it. more

Not so great 5/5/2008

I had service for more than a year. Never really satisfied, always had to ask them to come out and check whenever there was an issue such as dead spots. The reasons were always something I was not doing rather than what they could do. I felt if I was paying for their service on I should not have any issues. Arrogant attitudes of service persons who visited my lawn of course upon request. As a side note they were always leaving my fenced gate open and I have small dogs. Got estimates from two other known companies and found that I did have problems such as fungus and chinch bug not just need to water more as directed by Trugreen. Very disatisfied with the customer service level as well. more
