This is always a great place to spend an afternoon. They keep it up nicely and there is a nice open area out front for a picnic or just relaxing after taking in all of the wonderful masterpieces. They have a permanent instalation with antique pieces which is very educational for kids too.

A very nice place to spend a relaxing morning or afternoon. Beautiful gardens to stroll through on paved walkways. Inexpensive family fun and Monday mornings before noon are free. The kids favorite is the clock garden. The rose garden and butterfly gardens are very nice too. I would avoid the afternoon heat of the summer, spring time is pretty there.

Many of us can go on about the history of Altoona, PA., Napier, IL. or Poughkeepsie, NY. ... well not everybody, but some. But how many people in Orlando, or Central Florida know anything about their hometown??? Chances are VERY VERY few know anything other than what happened in Southwest Orange/Northwest Osceola counties. Yes there was a history in B.D. (before Disney), a rather dynamic one at that. Every newcomer and "pure Floridian" should visit the History Center at least once and get to know your region! How can we shape Central Florida's future if we don't know its past!!

This place is good for a Sunday afternoon to look at some art. There's a little bit of everything and it's really nice and quiet in there so you can think about each peice as your going by it. It's not really bid enough but it is a nice gallery I still wish they had more though. The price is far and there staff is knows quite abit so if you have to ask a question feel free to.

The Met is located in downtown Orlando. It is a pretty good Museum. It occupied a big building with several floor spaces. It has good exhibition. It is not world class. I don't think any museum in the Metro Orlando area can be compared with those in New York, DC or Los Angeles. But It is one of the best one in Central Florida. There are a couple museum in the Central Florida area that are good too but The Metropolitan is the bigger one. Sometimes, they will provide free kids program to introduce kid's to arts. It is a good family weekend destination.
