Two Thumbs Up... 7/30/2002

Thumbs Up Diner has great breakfast. The speacials are great, especially the French Toast with Apples. It the best breakfast around Atlanta. Location is an up and coming area. Service is a bit slow on the start and be prepared to wait a while to be seated. If you know you are going, you can call ahead and have you name placed on the list. Be sure to sign in once you get there. Also, they only accept cash, but they have an ATM near the bathrooms. Pros: Great Food, Great Specials, Cool Location Cons: Parking, Long Wait more

Delicious Huge Double Cup of the Best Breakfast Brewed Blend in this Bustling Diner. Expect some wait most mornings to enjoy the various Intown Breakfasts revived from their Decatur spot with Eggs Done Right, Crispy Home Fries, Stone Ground Grits, the Original Wheat Biscuits, fresh jams and Buckwheat Cakes served till 3 pm; also generous eclectic Lunch or Sandwiches. in a good way, that is. I love the atmosphere and the service is good. You may have to wait for a little bit, but the menu is fantastic and the food will keep you smiling for days. more

This is THE BEST breakfast in town. I'm addicted to the Cream Cheese Special. The staff are all super nice and will go out of your way to accommodate you. It's definitely worth the wait. Pros: Great food Cons: crowded more

Yummy food, but... 5/16/2002

The breakfast at Thumbs up is consistently good--I have never had a bad meal here. The service, on the other hand...inconsistent at best. I've had servers who were friendly and quick, but then I had one experience where our server forgot to put in our order and we ended up waiting for over 45 minutes for our food (she wasn't apologetic in the least). Another peeve--having to wait for a table on the curb outside the tiny restaurant. more
