The Monogram Shop didn't live up to my expectations. Although their product selections were pretty good, they were not the best I've seen, especially regarding Vera Bradley and Jon Hart. The employees were not always the nicest they could be when answering a question. Also, about 10-15 minutes before closing time (5 pm), they started turning the lights off on us while we were still browsing in the store - not saying a word to us at all or at least giving us a warning. I don't see myself ever going there again, because there are other boutiques in Houston that offer a better selection of products with friendlier service. Pros: null Cons: null more

Snobby Staff 7/31/2010

I went in to the shop 3 different times & I encountered about 5 different employees. Surprisingly, every single one of them were SO rude to me! They'd snap at me when asking a question, didn't smile, and didn't even thank me for my business! Ultimately my experiences left a VERY bad taste in my mouth. Sadly, I will not return. Pros: cute items Cons: dirty looks, snappy, & rude! more

Great place to shop! 8/13/2009

Wonderful place to find that perfect gift for all occasions. They carry home goods and personal items for both men and women. Great place to get that quick gift as many item already have single letter monogramming on items. They are also quick with personalized orders. They also carry a fantastic variety of holiday items. more

They have the best monogram gifts anywhere in Houston. The staff is friendly and you never have to wait very long for your items. The prices are great also. PROS: never have to wait long CONS: far from my home more

Cute monogram ideas! 10/13/2005

I like this shop because they carry all kinds of cute, unique gifts for baby and they have lots of ideas on what to monogram. I purchased a beautiful baby charm bracelet from here and had it engraved-it turned our perfect. The work is excellent and they have a nice selection of gift ideas, too. more

  • We are a 3,400 square foot gift shop located in Houston, Texas near the Galleria that specializes in monogramming. Each year we attend five to six gift and retail markets and love finding exciting and unique merchandise for our customers, most of which you can have monogrammed. Being members of Monograms America, an association of about 80 storeowners across the nation, we attend two conventions a year to network in order to bring you the latest in gift ideas. The Monogram Shop opened for business in 1987. Janet Burke, the storeowner, and her daughter Kelly currently work together at the shop with 16 other lovely ladies! We are a Gift Store and Monogram Shop all in one! We have personalized gifts and accessories! Here on our site are most of our best selling gifts, but we are always getting new things in and have some different things in our store in Houston. We are also very happy to take in outside sewing as well. The turnaround time is typically one week for all monogramming.
