This was my first Tattoo I am coming up on 4 weeks since its completion. The artist was great, I love the tattoo and he also was knowledgable enough to make me get a reasonable one for my first tattoo and not go to big. I will be returning to get a few more I want later this year. more

Get your tattoo here 10/5/2011

I have a few tattoos in mind and I was in the mood so I drove down Westheimer and inquired to a few shops about getting some ink done that night. I have three shops tell me no or make an appointment even though there were 3+ guys just standing around talking. I came upon this shop on my way home and thought why not. Best choice! My tattoo design has extremely straight lines with a shady figure and it is GORGEOUS. I had seven people stop me the next day to look at it. The lines look like he held a ruler up to them, they are perfect and he was so nice. A lot of the tattoo was missing from the picture I gave and he came up with something that fit the design and my arm. I really enjoyed my experience here, it was extremely clean and everyone was so nice. I will be back! more

Great place for first-timers 3/7/2011

The moment I walked in to discuss my ideas for my first tattoo, Catfish was there to assist me. It was great to have an artist who was genuinely interested and excited about your vision, yet they are able to present their personal suggestions without making you feel like a novice. Before you know it, my girlfriend and I are walking out of the parlor with badass tattoos! I highly recommend speaking to Catfish for your first tat here. The other artists there also gave off a very positive vibe that made me feel very welcome. more

Awesome Artist, Great work! 9/12/2010

I had my first tattoo done here by Gary. He does great work, and I've had every tattoo after that done by him as well. I like Gary a lot, the entire place has a really great atmosphere. Most tattoo shops that I've been to - they're not real friendly and the people had no personality. Texas Tattoo Emporium plays great music, and all the guys who work there that i've encountered are real laid back, cool guys. The place was recommended by my best friend who gets her work done there and I'm glad I went. Everytime I go back I ask for Gary. I love the work he does. The work I've had done is well worth all the money i've spent. Best place to go! more

Go see Stevie! Soooo happy with his work! 8/23/2010

I came into TT after another parlor wanted to overcharge me for a small piece (not to mention any names directly, but it's down Westheimer across the street from Numbers) and I'm so glad I did! Stevie looked at my design and gave me a few pointers that I appreciated very much since the tattoo I wanted was very meaningful to me. He even cleaned up another small tat that I had and made it look ten times better. He is patient and takes his time and I will definitely go back to see him. more

Not what I expected..BETTER 10/28/2009

the tattoo was cheaper, faster, and then they even made my original idea better than I had it planned. It was my first one and my artist, Antone, was great about it. Many of my friends are getting tatts in the near future and I'm def suggesting this place. more

Stevie is the Best!!! 7/11/2009

I had considered going to a different studio but after I saw Antone and Stevie's portfolios I knew that I had to go to TTE. Stevie was there and I showed him my drawing I wanted. It was done with brushstrokes and since it was mine I wanted it exactly like it was. He advised that some of the strokes were so fine he probably could not get it that detailed. I said that was fine, I was glad he was upfront about it. I asked his advice about some coloring and he said that we would do the black and if I wanted the color shading he would be more than happy to do it. Well, he lied about not getting it as detailed as the picture. It is PERFECT. He had to complete one of the brushstrokes (it had been cut out of the pic) and I could not be happier. It was a little pricey but worth every penny and had to problem adding a tip after! Thanks! Pros: Professional, did what I wanted, CLEAN Cons: None so far! more

Jay at texas tattoo 6/12/2009

I got tattoo'd by the guy named jay. I must admit, the tattoo is way different than the art that i initially brought in, its way better. He took the time to evaluate the drawing and redraw it for me. I ended up with a awesome tattoo. He has the eye of the tiger. more

Great Reputation.............. 6/7/2009

....... I have altered my initial review. It would be unwise to judge an entire tattoo studio based on one persons, bad day. I have seen work from this shop, and I have heard rave reviews from many people. Simply put, I was not personally impressed with customer service. I got the sense that I was negotiating with a rock star to play at my daughters wedding, in other words I was not that important. Pros: Warm Reception Cons: Cold Consultation more

Great Experience!! 2/5/2009

I went to the location off of Westheimer to get a navel piercing and I am VERY happy with the results. It's a clean facility and they will treat you professionally and respectfully. Zac did the piercing for me and he had all the information for how to maintain your piercing clean and free of infection. I would recommend him to anyone who is thinking about getting a piercing. :) Pros: Talent, Clean Facility, Piercing, Professional Cons: Parking more

First Timer. 12/31/2008

It was my first time getting a tattoo and I was soooo scared but the guys at TTE totally helped me to relax. The artist's name was Steve, and he was a pretty easy going guy he did an amazing job and although they are a little pricey I wouldnt go anywhere else. The artwork was totally amazing and came out exactly like I wanted it. My husband was the one that told me about TTE and had gotten one from there as well several months before and the older guy that did his JC knows how to keep conversation interesting(in a good way!) while still keeping his attention on his amazing work. The atmosphere is kinda rocker and the guys look intimidating but they are easy to get along with. They are very professional and clean as well. I'm definitely looking forward to my next tattoo and i know my husband is as well. TTE is the place to go if you are looking for artists with skill and cleanliness. Pros: Free touch ups for life Cons: Slightly pricey, but worth every penny more

Ay yo i get all of my tattoos done at this location by Jay. Jay is the by far the best when it comes to tattooage. He did my first large tat and he's done all my ones since. He truely is an artist. His work is by far the best ive seen in houston so far, and he does an incredible job customizing tattoos so each of his pieces are not only exceptionally done, but unique. I wouldnt go anywhere else. Go to texas tattoo emporium off of hwy 6 and give Jay a holla. Take my word for it, you wont be sorry. more

The Only Ink!! 10/14/2008

Antone is the the MAN! He hooked me up with my second tat and I wish he would have done my first one. He did a sick Koi & Lotis for my wife that is Mag worthy(3 settings to finsh). I will be going back to finish up my chest. If it will not look good he will not put it on you. They are the best! He is in On Sundays but make sure i am not in the chair First. Best Artist so far! 3/3/2008

I got a tattoo of a very detailed bird and Antione (the asian dude) was awesome. He got the tattoo EXACTLY the way i wanted it and Im a perfectionist. Yes, it was pricey but I would never settle for a cheap looking and cost tattoo. Its on forever so do it right! Want ur tattoo to look awesome? GO TO TEXAS TATTOO EMPORIUM! AWESOME Tattoos! 3/28/2007

Got my first tattoo yesterday, got it at Texas Tattoo Emporium, and I couldn't be happier. Everyone was extremely professional and very helpful. The shop was immaculate (no worries there). The artist (Jim Colvin) provided some great input to the tattoo design and worked with me when I asked for a couple of changes. His suggestions beat my ideas hands down and he made it a better tattoo than I ever could have thought up on my own - he really knows his stuff. Couldn't meet a nicer guy, he kept up the conversation to keep my mind off what he was doing (yes, it did hurt a bit but you get used to it after a couple of minutes), and he did an AWESOME job. I'll be back in a couple of months for my next one. Highest recommendation!!! more
