There are too many clubs in LA to waste time at this place. Pros: None Cons: Everything more

Here is what my friends expierence was: I had the worst experience due to the way the club was ran that night. I reserved a table through the club two weeks before saturday night. When I did they told me I was booked at table 21. When I arrived they sat me at my table then about 20 minutes later told me they were moving me because someone rented out that entire section. When I complained about the situation one of the waitresses says and I quote, " Well, money talks. They payed more for these tables." So, I asked to speak with some one in charge. Then they brought over some dude that goes by "D", and he basically says the same thing he tells me that the person who rented my table payed $400 versus my $200. Then he told me that he would cater to me all night and whenever I came back I wouldnt have to pay for entry. But when my friends and I try to order food off of the menu he tells us that he will only give us a round of drinks. Then, after I explain to him that it was my birthday and they were ruining my night he says to me and I quote, "You should be happy that you have a table, either you take it or you can leave." So I told him I wanted to speak to someone other than him, so he tells me, "If you talk to management there will not listen to you you will be put out." So after the ordeal with with him I ask our waitress to bring someone else for me to speak to. As we are waiting this guy we dont know comes by our table and snatches our bottle off of the table. We try to get it back from him when all his friends come and surround me and my cousin. Security sees the whole thing and dosnt budge. So by time the owner gets to our table I tell him about what happen and hes trying to slick talk me into dropping the issue. Im furious and trying to explain to him the situation n he sits there like I dnt have a reason to be upset. So Im crying because my night is ruined. So were arguing back and forth with him, when he gets up and goes downstairs. I go down there n try to explain the situation to another group of ppl that work there including security. Its basically 4am by time we leave. The only good thing out of that night was the fact that they realized that they were wrong and let me go without paying. I consider myself an experienced salsera and club-goer. I've been doing this since 1995. My girlfriends and I went to Tatou on 2/6/2009 for salsa dancing and expected 3 of our friends to show up a little later in the evening. It was the worst experience I've EVER had. First of all, I called in advance to find out when the club opened and when lessons started. I was told doors open @ 8pm. We got there a little after 8pm and they didn't let us in, allowing us to get drenched in the rain and insisting that they would let us in @ 9pm. After a little begging, they let us in around 8:40pm. Gee - thanks. The guy, Carlos, hosting the salsa night is a complete and total nut job. There is something off about that guy. My intuition tells me he is a wife-beater, or someone who would choke a woman if she spoke out of turn. Total creep!!!! He kept on insisting that we take the salsa lessons and when we didn't comply, he became a little too aggressive for my taste. Our 3 friends showed up, but they wouldn't let them in based on "Dress Code", which I found odd. They were not wearing anything out of the ordinary. These are 3 of the sweetest guys you'll ever meet...good boys. In fact, everyone inside the club had on jeans and tennis shoes, for the most part. My theory is that the bouncer wanted to get some sort of bribe. I guess they weren't concerned about bringing the body count of the club up to a total of 10 people. We left shortly thereafter, wanting those last 2 hours of our lives back. Never again! Pros: none Cons: everyting more

I don't know what happened here but the quality of the food went WAAYYYY downhill. Indifferent, snobbish service and food that was both undercooked and overcooked. I may go there for drinks but serve me bad food once and you lose me as a customer forever, too many other consistently good options in the area for me to ever dine at Tatou again. i been to alot of clubs in LA but this one takes the takes the cake. its packed with beutiful ladies . great music . and the drinks are not to expensive...my buddies and i are their every other friday. I went to Tatou this last saturday because Super Crew was performing, the dance crew that won "America's Best Dance Crew." My buddies and I had a great time! All girls in my group got a free rose and a glass a champagne. The bartender was one of the hottest bar tenders I've ever seen! Decent crowd, good drinks, nice big space. The DJ's mix was awesome. The show itself was Great! This girl dance crew opened for them and they were entertaining. The MC came out and threw out like 100 free shots b4 Super Crew came on. Then the crew came out and tore it up! The guys are even better in person! They even did an encore performance. My group ended the night with 9 shots which came out to less than $90, which for a club is cheap! I'll definitely be going back! This place is horrible. It's dirty all the people are rude... Security, bouncers, waitress, promoters, managers everyone you can think of. They say they're a classy club but THEY'RE NOT... They let anyone in gangsters and people in really big clothes. All the promoters and people that work there are sooooo old. They all have to be in their late 40's its like why do I want to go to a club where my dads friends might be. The dancers think they are hot but they're not and some of them have never heard of "waxing" I think. All the guys are rude and try to get you to do nasty things so they can take pictures and get aroused by it. There were two fights one inside and one outside it was terrible. Drinks were very overpriced and very watered down. It was super hot inside. I don't see what view people are talking about all you see are the backs of one of the oldest high schools in the world and some old buildings. The bathrooms are very dirty... The worst part for me is the fact that about 80% of the men in the club are very very old, and they think they're hot and cool. All the women that actually sit around these men are very sleazy women who would do anything to get into the club for free. The one and only good thing was the music... The DJ was playing the best music. He is really working in the wrong place... more

This place gets so packed lots of variety friendly fun atmosphere. No too cool attutiudes just a whole lotta people out for a good time and we all found it here at Tatou. The view of downtown is sweet this club is nice inside and out. The bottle service is fit for any budget and the waitresses are freakin hott this club has it all A++ Pros: DJ'S ON POINT ALL NIGHT Cons: none this place rocks more

I TOOK MY WIFE HERE TO CELEBRATE HER BIRTHDAY AND WE ALL HAD A BLAST. WE ATE AT THE WOKANO RESTERANT INSIDE THE ESTABLISHMENT FIRST, THAN WE WENT INTO THE CLUB. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING , BUT THE WAITERS WERE A LITTLE SLOW SO THAT WAS ANNOYING. Ok, I don't know what the negative reviews below are talking about.But I just recently celebrated my birthday at tatou through a promoter I know and had a BLAST!! My friends got in good on his guestlist and we got in the vip line with no problem.The Vip table I got was included in my bday package with a cake and champagne bottle along with drinks! The waiter was very nice and fast. Crowd was good with alot of HOT GUYS and good looking girls. I KNOW MY FRIENDS AND I WILL BE BACK AND PARTY ALL NIGHT AGAIN!
