We've been eating here since they opened decades ago. The food is consistently excellent and the service attentive. Our favorite is the seafood with crispy noodles. One order is enough for three people and it's filled with a variety of seafood and vegetables. more

Excellent Szechuan Chinese Food 10/8/2008

The food here is really great. Probably the best Szechuan Chinese food in San Diego. Staff can be a little stuffy. They don't smile very much. And the biggest downside... they are not open on Sunday! more

The Only Lemon Chicken Left in Town! 8/8/2005

I love Szechuan Mandarin! It's the only place where we can get Lemon Chicken that isn't deep fried and overly breaded. It's the best Lemon Chicken we've had, anyway. The food is a little expensive and it can be hard to get a table over the weekend, but it's worth it. Right in front, there's a big fish tank filled with many brightly colored fish that always captures the kid's eyes. more

Best Chinese food 7/30/2005

This is the only chinese food I love. It is great all the time. They have a great atmosphere too. There are large fish tanks and wonderful decor. This is truly authentic chinese food and it is quite a treat to eat there. A bit expensive but worth the extra money. more
