I started going to McCrea's when I was a kid. My mom helped me pick out my first trumpet and they helped me pick out my first music book. I took lessons there for years as did my brother and sister who learned piano. I still play my trumpet and am very close to my teacher. She was wonderful. I always love going in there to hear the sounds of kids learning music!

This theater offers a WIDE variety of theatre and all of it is quite good. Some of the smaller performances are done by students and they can be really well done. I love to take visitors from out of town to dinner and to a play because the quality is so good and you can't beat the prices. I am a student at UCSD so I can get GREAT prices. If I wanted, I could get in for free if I volunteered to help seat people.

This roller coaster is old but good. It is right near the water and has a great view at the top. They keep this coaster up to date so no worrying about damage from age. It is fun and a tradition in our family to take everyone in the summer while in our suits to ride it before we get in the water. I recommed it to anyone visiting San Diego.

I developed gestational diabetes while pregnant and was told I had to cut out my sugar or else! My mom found this place and it was heaven for me. I had gone most the pregnancy without any good tasting food because of my strict diet and I went here and enjoyed every bite. The best part was, my post-meal sugar levels didn't move. In other words, my diabetes was not hurt at all by the fine food I had. THANK YOU!! I went back after I had the baby and they offerred to play and hold her while I ate. Nice people!

This is a great place to keep your dog while you are away. If you are anything like me, you worry about your puppy when you are on a trip and this place has a greay system to help you. They have cameras in their center to allow you to watch 24/7. Before I dropped off my dog, I watched the videos a lot to see if there was anything I didn't like about how they treated the animals and I always so kindness. This is a winner.

This smaller community college is just what some may need to get where they want to go. The smaller attendance allows Professors and staff to give you more time and help you with more personalized service than other community colleges in town. However, enrollment is just enough to keep the quality and quantity of courses up. If you live close by, you should come to campus and check it out.

This science museum had a travelling show from Robert Scary's book themes. It was so popular that they decided to open something more permanent. It is designed for the youngest visitors. Toddlers are likely to find it the most fun. Exhibits (toys?) are at their level and oriented towards their abilities. They say younger can come but my 10-month old was more interested in the other kids than the new exhibit. I will be coming back very soon though.

This mission is a wonderful place to visit. It feels like you've stepped back in time when you enter the grounds. You have to visit in June/July when they have the Festival of the Bells where they have food, music, dancing, and the ever favorite blessing of the animals. You can bring your pet to be blessed by the preist. It is loads of fun and educational. Children would love to attend this festival and there is plenty to do for mom and pop too.

This is a great place to take a youngster on a hot day. It is covered and cool near the beach. I like to take my baby there because it is protected from the sun rays and because she just LOVES those fish. We can spend hours in front of just one tank watching the fish go around. They have an extensive collection of fish. I was very impressed bu their educational focus. This would be a great place to take a girl scout troop or class field trip as well.

This is a bookstore for SDSU that is not connected to the University so the prices are much lowe than what you would find at the SDSU bookstore. They are able to keep their prices down because they are privately owned. You can even sell your used books back when you are done with them. You don't get what you paid for them but you do get something and that's better than nothing.
