What can I say, these guys started the current craze and are still the king. They are innovative, interesting, trendy and their drinks and snacks are great. Pros: Excellent coffee, Terrific snacks, Awesome service Cons: cost, sometimes crowded more

even though starbucks started in seattle, it has regressed tremendously. it just shows how yuppy seattle is becoming. coffee is no longer an artform. push one button and here's your coffee. the only difference between that and my coffee pot at home is that i have to pay to have someone else to push the on button. more

Every Starbucks I have gone to, including in Australia..poor service... the people are too talkative to their co workers and the coffee is over roasted and acidic Pros: nice seating, accessible Cons: crowded, noisy, bad customer service more

I cannot but wonder what the people who rave about Starbucks coffee have been smoking. This sour, burned, and generally NASTY brew is only comparable to the truck stop coffee which has sat on the warmer all night. If you really like Starbucks, save some money and brew up the charcoal briquettes(without the lighter fluid) and you'll get a similar flavor. If you want quality don'tdrink Starbucks 9/3/2002

Anybody who either goes into a Starbucks cafe or drinks their coffee, should agree to these two things: 1) It is acidic, assembly-line made (i.e. in that the baristas make about four drinks @ a time) and NOT quality coffee 2) The atmosphere is sterile and makes you feel like you are just one of the many java drinkers who just need a caffeine rush and who doesn't care about quality. If you care about what you drink and want a personal touch..DONT go to starbucks more

starbucks has all around great coffee but there mocha's are awesome. your better than every coffe place i have been to and i go to alot.....your better than seattles best coffee and everything....keep going i love your coffee i would spend alot on one cup of it! When I walk in and the Barista knows my name and has my drink ready what else could I ask for. Well there is always the pleasant conversation I enjoy with everyone working there and that they have a true interest in how I am. Yes, i know it's everywhere... Yes, i know it always has some sort of cool jazz in the background... Yes, i know that you can buy a venti mocha coconut frappucino... BUT HAS ANYONE EVEN CONSIDERED THAT STARBUCKS HAS HORRID COFFEE???????? If you really are a coffee snob, or are just MILDLY PICKY about what your caffeine fix tastes like, as so many seattlites are, you realize that if you are really after GOOD COFFEE, you look at a starbucks and run the other way... I know it's taboo to love a monopoly likes starbucks in an espresso thriving town like Seattle but I can't help it. I always get great service...it's fast and relatively friendly and my coffee is just how I like it. I know what I can expect when I go to any of the stores. High prices, yes but great coffee. more

My favorite coffee is Starbucks. When I first moved to Seattle from New York City 21 years ago, I went to a restaurant for lunch and had the most delicious coffee. Unlike the waitpeople in the Big Apple, my waitperson told me that it was Starbucks Yukon blend. I am a devotee ever since. I like the relaxed atmosphere at Starbucks, and that just about any place I go, there will be a Starbucks on the corner. I recently took a trip to Vancouver, BC, and was happy to see that there too was my beloved Starbucks. And even last March when I was in Hong Kong, Starbucks was there to make me think of home. more
