Smokey Bones- not quite Sonnys 4/14/2006

My husband and I have been to Smokey Bones a few times. But frankly, we would prefer to go to a Sonnys. At Smokey Bones, there is always a wait and I have never received my food hot. Also, all of the food is about a dollar or two more than what it should be. To be positive, their doughnuts are delicious. A great way to have a quick and tasty dessert. more

Great Ribs 4/12/2006

We love to go to Smokey Bones. The portion sizes they give you is out of control. There is so much that I can eat dinner that night, lunch the next day and dinner again. It has a great atmosphere as well. There are all types of people that eat there. The only thing that I don't like is the little TV boxes on the tables. I love the concept, but hate that the people at the table next to you are turning their TV sounds up above yours...it's a constant battle. more

Delicious 4/12/2006

I love Smoky Bones, the baby back ribs are delicious and so tender. The barbeque chicken is really good too, moist and delicious. I usually go for lunch when it is a little less crowded and they have great sandwiches, the pulled pork one is awesome. The employees are always very friendly and helpful. Beware it does get very crowded at night, I suggest take-out. more

For some great pulled pork and beer, Smoky Bones is the place 8/16/2005

Smoky Bones BBQ opened a couple of years ago on Capital Circle NE, and it has been hopping ever since. It is a fun, causal atmosphere, and the food is great. The pulled pork is excellent, the sides are good and Southern-style, and the beer is great with the entrees. Their sauces are very good. The place is fun and clean. It looks nothing like the old Don Pablo used to look. Smoky Bones is set up like a sports bar, and as a result there are TV's everywhere. It is loud and therefore is very kid-friendly. The service is also good. And the price is right. For great BBQ from a franchise (really!), eat at Smoky Bones. more
