everything a kid wants in one place and a fun place for adults to watching you're kids with smiles on there faces running around trying to figure out what to do first and they have a blast going i just hate to see their face looking at me with no tokens but i don't care to give them more tokens they don't cost a billion $$ just go for fun :)

This is a dollar theater. The most you will ever pay for a movie ticket is $1.50. They also have 50 cents Tuesday all day. The movie that they play may not be the most current usually a month or two old, but that also mean their movies are not from the 60’s. If you can wait a month to watch a movie, which sometimes you forget to go anyway, you can play $1.50 rather then paying $10 to $20. I know this may not be the most high-end theater, but if you are going to rent a movie why not just go to a theater. The ticket actually cost less than renting a movie! They have regular theater seat with cup holder not stadium seat. The place is fairly clean. The concession stand prices are slightly less than a high-end theater. They also have a small arcade. One word of warning, they are very strict with the R-rated movie age requirement. Everyone in a group watching a R-rated movie must be present at the time when you buy the ticket or no ticket. I see a lot of people whine about this, and you know what I would say. Get over it people you are paying less than 2 bucks to see a movie. The theater doesn’t want to lose its license to show movies.

Maclay gardens is a beautiful place to spend a day with people you love. The gardens themselves are beautiful with well planned grounds that show color year round and highlight what one can do in their own backyard. Aside from the gardens, Maclay is also home to some great recreational opprotunities for the family. The gardens is located on Lake Hall, a small lake that is known for its large mouth bass. They have a designated swimming area (a small beach and a lot of shaded areas for picnics) and a boat ramp for non-motorized boats (i.e. canoes, kayaks). They permit fishing, but you have to adhere to state park regulations. They have a couple of trails for horseback riding, bike riding, and hiking. On weekends during peak season they have rental trail horses available for guided tours. With all of these activities in one beautiful park, and admission at only $4 per car or van load, it's easy to see why Maclay gardens is one of Tallahassee's treasures.

Scrapbook Market is located in town along Thomasville road. It's in a strip mall and just a few doors down from Joann's.
This store is fantastic. You get a million cool ideas just walking around. The store is organized in a fun fashion, with many themed "centers" -- each with its own brand, holiday, or other theme. There are also a bunch of non-themed items which are arranged by type such as doo-dads, cornerers and albums.
The whole back wall is filled with sale items--great when you want to save some $$ and don't have a specific project in mind.
The staff was nice--friendly and helpful without being annoying.
There are also work tables that you can use along with tons of tools, like paper punches and cutters, as long as you spend at least $10 during your visit.

AMC Tallahassee Mall 20 Theatres is probably the best modern movie theatre to go to for any college, K-12, or even adult to go check out a flix. The price for students is about $6 while for the adults is $8... a little steep compared to some of the other movie theatres around town. Although the theatres provide stadium seating with 18-inch risers for unobstructed viewing, digital surround sound that envelops the audience in a multi-dimensional cinematic sound environment, and large, efficient, fast-service concession stand. So if you want to see the latest on the line of movies, check this movie theatre out.

It's like being a kid again. There's an outdoor zoo where you can see all the animals that are native to Florida. They have bears, alligators, panthers...it's incredible. You walk over the alligator, bear and panther habitats. You can see the white tailed deer, otters and of course the snakes. There's also an area of the museum that has old cottages and houses that show you how things were in the "olden days"

If they don't have it they will help you find it. Excellent selection of all your music needs from complete instruments to accessories and strings. They have new and used instruments and they also can repair just about anything. Owner is excellent, very helpful and personable and very competitive prices too.

Movies 8 is a discount, second-run theatre. They'll never have the new movies, but they will get them before they enter the rental market. What this means to you is a big savings for those movies that you're not sure you want to see, but would like to see on a theatre screen. They recently changed management/owners, which usually means little.....but in this case it actually means that they've finally changed the seats (which were starting to smell like a kitty litter box). They've also made changes to management and hired a more energetic and friendly staff. But really....at no more than $2 (weekends) and as low as $.50 all day Tuesdays....who is really complaining about anything?
