When my husband and I were getting married, I put an engagement announcement in the Bainbridge Post Searchlight...or at least I thought I did. When I read the paper, they actually changed the order of my husband's name. When I called to tell the editor about this, she explained to me that there was no way that my husband's name could be in that order and she was not changing it cause as far as she was concerned it was not a typo. I contacted Emily Post and sent the letter I received back to the Post Searchlight, the editor again refused to change it in the paper. I can't believe a paper would actually tell me how to spell my name and what order it can be in PROPERLY...come on!

I love when they have their sidewalk sales. I can find so many movies that my husband and I would love to watch. Many times I will go to 2 or 3 or the movie galleries when they are having their sales and buy large amounts of movies. It's wonderful. Once we've watched them we trade with other family members to see what they purchased. So we get lots of use out of the $9 movie that we bought.

This is a furniture warehouse that is in Tallahassee and many other locations across the country. They actually have really good furniture and great prices. They offer layaway with $20 down and you can pay as little as a $1 a month to keep the layaway active. There is no time limit to pay the furniture balance off. Also when you pick out your furniture and put it on layaway, when you go into pay it off you can change furniture sets cause they don't hold it in the back for you. It's an amazing way to buy furniture. They are highly recommended.

Payless shoes has great shoe sales but sometimes their shoes reflect the prices. It is a great store to buy shoes that you will only wear for one season though. I go there for flip flops in the spring time and rain boots in the fall. Their purses aren't that bad either. If I had children, I would probably buy their shoes there at half price...what a better deal. At the rate childrens feet grow why would you pay full price?

First of all let me start by saying that Jose's is both a restaurant and a bar. There are two different rooms for each. The bathrooms are actually in the hotel lobby...yes, I said hotel. The restaurant is in a hotel. The food is something to leave alone. The portions are small, the prices are high and it's not as tasty as it should be. Now, let's move onto the bar...it's a box with a pool table and juke box with a little bar in the corner. Now after a couple of drinks, the place is a great time...but if you are there for just one drink...go to the gas station on the corner...

What can I say about the best dealership in South Georgia. They actually found the exact vehicle that I wanted on the computer and then drove up there to pick it up. They found every sort of rebates that would apply to me, so I got a lot of money right off the top. They have been incredibly helpful whenever I have had to take my vehicle into shop for service. They always give me a loaner car while mine's in the shop and I get my pick on the lot. They actually treat you like friends there, which is so nice to finally see out of a dealership.

This is a fabulous little hometown restaurant. They make the BEST fried chicken salad. They have all ranges of foods from steaks to seafood to salads. They have fully loaded baked potatoes, mozzarella sticks and it's one of the few restaurants that actually have both coke and a pepsi fountains...gotta love that! I can get cherry coke and my husband can get a pepsi. This restaurant is always packed...WARNING it's closed on Sundays, so don't even try it!

I love to buy picture frames, air fresheners, paper party supplies, etc. Anything that will just go to waste in no time. There's no sense buying things that will get wasted for full price. You can even buy helium balloons...gotta love this store! I did find out that you can't bring anything back to the store. I over purchased some Valentine gift bags and well after Valentine's Day why would I need them, so I tried to return them...didn't work out so well. holiday items are taking back at half the price (do the math that's only 50 cents) and only for a store credit...so I got a candy bar.

Center Drugs is a pharmacy, a Hallmark store and much more. You can buy baby clothing, Vera Bradley, wedding items and register for china. This store has everything. There wedding registry is a great thing. The couple (or bride only usually) goes in picks everything out (with the help of an associate) and the items get placed on a table in the middle of the room. Then everyone that comes in to buy off your registry goes to the table, picks up and item and purchases. It's that easy. No guess work involved...ingenious!

They are not only full of baking needs but they offer a full supply of themed party supplies from birthday to weddings to anniversaries. They also have frames, collegiate themed supplies, purses, etc. You name it, they have it. They offer wedding registry at their shop as well. Everything you pick out will be put on a table with your name on it displayed for everyone to just come in and purchase what's on your table. Takes the guessing out of buying gifts. Wish they had the same tables for women to place out what they like and their husbands to get those "surprises" for us.
