I had a family member stay there because they were burned out of their home do to an electrical fire and they treated them so rudely. I will never recommend anyone to stay there nor will I ever stay there. My mom lives in Tallahass and has been a resident for over 10 years and as much as I travel with a large family this hotel's treatment of my mother has really been unacceptable. They kept asking every few days how long she plans to stay, denying access to her room and phone. She had to literally keep going to the front desk on a daily basis in order to gain access every day. That is not only rude but just plain unacceptable. This is not even a greate hotel, its cheap with nothing to offer.
Pros: None
Cons: Everything from the atmosphere, staff, incompetency of management, poor quality

We send all of our out of town business guests to the Cabot Lodge and they all find it to be a very satisfying place to stay. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are always nice and clean. Folks always comment on how nice the rooms are and how quiet they are compared to other places they have stayed. The only complaint I have heard is that it can take a little time to check out of the hotel. Otherwise, it's an excellent place to stay.
PROS: Friendly staff, quiet rooms, convenient to I-10
CONS: Slow to check out on occasion

La Quinta is a wonderful hotel chain. First of all, they are dog friendly which is great if you travel with pets. Also, they are inexpensive. I usually pay between $65 and $80 a night. Also, you get free continental breakfast which includes waffles.
The hotel staff has always been wonderful and I have never had a problem with a clean room in La Quinta. Make sure you sign up for their Rewards card so you can earn a free night.

More
Wakulla Springs is a great little cold-water respite that offers some of the best relief from those steamy summer days in the panhandle. Its a short drive from Tallahassee, and immedately worth it when you plunge into the year-round 70 degree crystal clear spring water. There are two diving platforms (one is a high dive), staffed with lifeguards. I'd strongly recommend staying in the designated swim areas, as there have been many news stories of college kids losing an arm or dying when they cross paths with an alligator during mating season. There have been no incidents of such an attack within the designated area. There is a small beach area for catching some sun and a lot of shady areas for a family picnic. They also have two glass-bottom boats and a third for tours into the upper spring area. As with most glass-bottom boat tours, this is more for the kids than anything...they have a gimmic that is immediately intriguing "Henry the pole vaulting fish" is this mythical fish that likes to "jump and play" for the boats. Unfortunately this jumping and playing is disappointing (even to kids), but I'll leave some mystery if you're still interested. The saving grace is cool that it is genuinely cool to see the mastadon bones and the eerie spring well entrance. Adults should stick to the river portion tour - as you'll see more wildlife and get a better feel for the area. They have full bathrooms complete with showers for getting the grit off ya before you pack up and leave. There is also a guest lodge on site for overnight stays at the springs. Inside the lodge there is a small restaurant, and a gift shop for grabbing a souvenier. They also have some pretty cool hiking trails if you ever tire of the water (I never do).

We had to book a room for some family that were coming up to visit. We had a hard time finding a room due to a local football game (I live in a college town). Finally, we contacted Quality Inn and they had something for us. The room was good, nothing too fancy but clean. My family appreciated the service there as well. We'll more than likely use them again if needed.

Last year we got a room here for some family that was coming up to visit us. The service here was okay. Nothing super bad to report really it's just that we would have liked it better if the rooms were a little nicer and cleaner. It's not pretty to find hair on your supposedly clean towels when your all wet from the shower.
