They could have used more actors. Some of the set designs were okay. Cons: too expensive, too few actors, bad location

Editorial review from Citysearch 10/7/2012

It was okay. I wouldn't go again. It wasn't very scary in my opinion. Lots of props that pop up at you which I didn't like very much. Also, I'd heard it was very short, but it felt like we were only in there for 10 minutes. I would skip it. more

The Best, At It's Best. 10/10/2011

I Went To Slaughter House This Past Weekend, And Let Me Tell You.. It Was Awesome! Although, I Was Almost Too Scared. I Ducked My Head When The People Were In One Of The Rooms I Was Going Into. The Only Bad Thing About It Was The Tight Spaces And The Strobe Lights. Other Than That, It Was Great. I Honestly Don't Think I've Ever Screamed That Much. I Went To Monster Mountain Last Year, And It Was NOTHING Compared To Slaughter House. So If Your Looking For A Good Scare, Slaughter House Is WORTH THE MONEY! more

A very good haunted house. 9/26/2010

I have gone to two haunted houses this year and Slaughter House was by far the better one. After the rules got read you stepped into a pitch black room and it stayed that way except for the occasional strobe light. The actors were right in your face before you even had the chance to notice they were there. I was majorly scared a few times and it's really hard to scare me. If you're claustrophobic there's one part that you're really going to hate, because you actually have to push the walls apart to walk through. The rest of it isn't as cramped as other places though. The only bad thing about it was that it was so short. It's still a WAY better deal than Death Row. more

Mediocre at best 11/20/2007

This was first haunted house I went to this year, and I was disappointed. There were only around 10 actors throughout the whole house, and it was fairly short. There was a lame maze around halfway through where you have to pick the right door, and all the other doors lead in a circle. Kind of unoriginal if you ask me. I have to admit it was not very scary and I don't understand why it was called Slaughterhouse since it seemed like the theme kept changing. Pros: Free parking, short wait time Cons: Too short, not very scary, uninspired more

A real romp! 10/9/2007

I went with a group of friends....we were all amazed at the originality, the talent, everything. Scenes I never would have thought of. Actors who worked hard on their look and scare. Every corner was into something entirely different! I felt like the other 2 haunted houses we went were just imitating their creativity. Too much to see (and jump from) for one trip, we're going back this weekend! Pros: Well developed craziness, lots to see & do, scared me exhausted Cons: Maybe too challenging to folks with back problems, some crouching involved more

Very scary! 10/23/2005

This haunted house is very well planned and very scary! I hardly ever get scared at haunted houses, and I was frightened when I went though this one! It wasn't that scary at first, but then it really picks up. There were tricky mazes, lots of surprises, and plenty of time spent in the pitch dark trying to figure out who else is in the room. more

Unbiased first timer 11/2/2002

Went to Slaughter House and Death Row for first time Nov 1. This was about half as big as Death Row, but still well done with mostly actors. Their electric chair scene room was more dynamic than Death Row's. They had a neat green faced character that seemed to jump from spot to spot magically in a room when the lights went off then on. I rate Death Row at 8.5 and Slaughter House at 7. You will have fun at either, especially, from what I observed, if you have a date that screams easily. I doubt that any of these places will be better than Death Row if for no other reason than you get a good solid hour of fun, more stuff rotating tunnels at Death Row Haunted Prison which is huge but Slaughter House was good and less gore. Pros: Good actors, Electric chair good, No steps inside Cons: Some sex on playingTV, Some 4' high openings, thirty minutes more

Pass... 8/23/2002

They could have used more actors. Some of the set designs were okay. Cons: too expensive, too few actors, bad location more
