Great for big groups 6/3/2008

If you have a big group, ask for the room in the back when you make reservations. This was a nice place for a birthday party I threw because the two long tables in the back seats over 25 people, and there is a little bar right next to the room for people who want to wander over there for a little bit. The thai food at siam is excellent and the price is a great deal. You get a lot of food for what you pay for. I'd say entrees average around $9 and is easily split between 2 people. Pros: Great for groups, awesome thai food, ample parking more

Pathetic Food 5/31/2007

This is probably one of the worst Thai food i have ever had. The taste was bland and lack flavor. On the positive side, our waitress was nice and accomodating. more

A taste bud opener! 3/7/2007

I owe this place to opening my taste bud to new tastes in thai food. I'm a really hesitant person when it comes to trying out new food and I'm the one who usually ends up getting the same thing at a restaurant every time we go there. Well I felt adventurous at a friend's birthday and tried the pud si lew...IT WAS TO DIE FOR! It's a pretty big step for me but may be little for others because instead of my usual fried rice I now get this dish...baby steps baby steps. Pros: Authentic Cons: Creepy drive way to get there more

nice location--and parking--for a good Thai joint 8/24/2006

My friends and I always have our large group outings here. The portions are generous for the price. It's good. The environment is nice. Lots of parking. Staff is very friendly to us (they even remember some of us...we're there too much, I guess). I like it there, and we even bring visitors who's craving Thai food there. Pros: food, service, environment Cons: ? more

Best Thai in Washington 5/11/2006

This place is the same one as the Siam on Broadway. Great food and good service. One of the best is the Fresh Roll. Beef salad and Ginger Beef has always been great. Pros: Good parking, Good Service, Great Food Cons: Not cheap more

This was great 7/18/2005

Went here for a weekday lunch and wasn't expecting much. Turned out to be wonderful. The location was secluded and nice, and there was plenty of free parking. (Rare for the neighborhood.) I didn't like how crowded and noisy the dining room was, it seemed like everything was on top of everything else. I definitely appreciated a variety of simple Thai dishes done right with no frills, and the large selection of lunch specials. A few of the things on the menu that we were interested in ordering they didn't have that day. A great place for a business lunch, but it would also work with a family. Pros: Great lunch specials, Parking, Good prices Cons: Crowded, Noisy, Entree availability more

the best Thai resturant ever! great food 2/8/2005

I love Thai food, and this is the best Thai resturant ever for me and my family. Great food best service as always. I love Pad see iew, Angry Ocean and ginger prawns here. Also, other food is all very tasty! The first time I know this place is my Birthday party. Then, I like to hang out and have food with my friends here. There's a big banquet for party and a waiter to take care of all the time when you reserve it. Pros: good parking, reasonable price, tasty food Cons: service more

Disappointing experience 10/2/2004

Ordered several dishes for a party of two, one of which was a seafood dish which was nearly inedible (old, nearly spoiled shellfish). The restaurant was not very busy, yet we waited quite a while for our meal, and later the check. Our glasses of water remained empty while we looked for wait staff, who were more occupied with larger parties. Pros: Easy parking, Reasonable prices, Large dining room Cons: , OLD SHELLFISH, Cold climate more

Decent Seattle Thai 9/22/2004

This place is in the top tier of Seattle's many, many Thai eateries. Dishes reach your table in what seems like seconds from leaving the fire. The phad thai is of the reddish variety so if you like yours more traditional, ask them to prepare it without ketchup. An added bonus is the good selection of teas they feature. Try one to sip after your meal for the perfect end to a delicious Thai meal. Pros: Teas, nice location, free parking more

Siam on Loch Ness 6/23/2003

Although the food was somewhat tasty, portions were grossly inadequate considering the preparation (very simple--nothing stunning or inventive). My friend ordered shrimp pad thai (shrimp $2 extra), and only received 4 SMALL shrimp. I ordered chicken and received less than an ounce of meat. There was a $2 charge for plain white rice (which ought to be complimentary, in my opinion). Ultimately we paid over $30 (no drinks, and excluding tax and tip) for a lot of noodles, 4 shrimp, 4 thin shreds of chicken, and a little bit of sauce that I imagine came from a big vat in the back. Others have raved about the large portions here, and they were indeed large, but only because of plain flat noodles and plain white rice, which I consider inferior goods. Service was abysmal. After taking our order, our waiter never returned except to give us the bill. Pros: immediate seating, easy parking, tasty Cons: tiny meat portions, bad service more

Yep, it's good 2/7/2003

I live just around the corner from Siam Lk Union and I eat there frequently. I've never had a dish I didn't like. Fresh, flavorful, and blow your head off spicy if you like. If you get take out stop by the bar for a drink and a game on the big screen. It's authentic, it's good, and it's affordable. Eat it! Pros: great flavors, fresh ingredients, fair prices more
