The prices are no bargain and Raffi's personality is pretty surly 11/11/2008

He's slightly closer than the dealership, but the prices are almost identical and with the dealership I get polite service, cheaper rental cars, and no EXTRA premium charge when I use a credit card. Pros: The repairs seem to be good and the shop seems to be orderly. Cons: The prices are the same as the dealership and the staff is annoyed the moment you walk in. more

Love these guys!! They have worked on three Saabs that I have had and they always do a great job for reasonable rates. I would highly recommend them without hesitation. Pros: Best Saab repair place around. Cons: Sometimes they are super busy and you have to leave your car for a couple days. more

Probably good for minor repairs, but untrustworthy 3/26/2008

This place was recommended by a great auto shop that did not personally handle Saabs. My car was making a funny noise so I took it in. The guy was very nice at first when he gave me the unfortunate news that my car not safe to drive because of severe internal damages. He promised me a couple hundred dollars for the vehicle, and also said he had a very nice Saab in my price range there for me to look at when I went to clean out my car. I went there, a sad sack, to empty my car, get my couple hundred, and check out the other car. It definitely LOOKED nice, but obviously had a lot of miles on it (which he told me only when I asked, and when I checked later I discovered he was off by about 30k!). He definitely just focused on how pretty it looked, and seemed to have convinced himself I was going to buy it without the usual questions and concerns. I told him I'd think about it, but $3,500 for a car with 150k on it is pretty ridiculous (even I know that). I signed over my car, and went to ask for my couple hundred he promised. He told me it wasn't worth the money, and it was just going to the junk yard. I was pretty choked up about the car, so I just let it go and left. After I shared the story with friends they were pretty upset and enlightened me about the obvious hoodwinking. I finally got it towed to another auto shop (after getting bullying phone calls and having to pony up $95 for ""storage""). The other shop did say that the damage described was accurate, and I'm now going to donate my car to charity. I mostly had someone else take a look to be absolutely sure that my car wasn't going to be just sold for parts without any compensation or turned around and repaired and sold without my knowledge. He definitely tried to just get my car and sell me another crappy one, and I knew I couldn't trust him as he promised me money that he didn't deliver. This is probably a good place to go if you know how to handle yourself around dealers and mechanics or need minor repairs. Pros: Seem like they can be honest if they don't have the opportunity to take advantage Cons: Obviously took advantage of the fact I was upset about my vehicle and it ended badly more
