I was very sad to see the old owners of Priya sell out, but the gentleman was crippled with arthritis, and his wife overworked. These days, another family owns the place and the formerly ethereal tandoori chicken wrap took on a new flavour, and not nearly so delicious, though I couldn't say exactly why. Nevertheless, we stuck with it and there are some dishes well worth trying -- the saag dishes are quite good, as is the vindaloo and many of their other dishes. All entrees are availabl either a'la carte or a fully thali dinner, which includes several savory sides as well as one dessert. The sides are always good, but don't determine a favorite, for when you do, it won't be the same next time. Most recently, I've found serious discrepencies between what I order and what I get; either my expectations, memory or delusions are at fault, but there are times when I've ordered (to go, which I usually do), and gotten something so completely and unsatisfyingly different that I called to query whether the kitchen staff has changed. The guy at the cashier's desk always says No! They are always the same; we are all family! but I'm not sure I believe him. As I said, I usually order to go, and things might be different if I ate in, but at this point, these people KNOW me (yes, they do!) and yet I get a variation on the dish I think I know with the same name almost every single time. However, the food is consistently good and the prices are very moderate. I recommend the tandoori chicken wrap (NOT the chicken chili wrap), as well as any of the Saags (moderately spicey, and very good) or Vindaloos (extremely spicy, and soooo tasty). I'm not sure that you can order anything honestly mild at Priya, so if you can't tolerate hot spice, avoid just about anything but the tandoori chicken.
Pros: Good food, but you don't know what version you'll get on any given night
Cons: Sometimes everything is very spicy, so if you can't stand the heat...
