I always have fun when I go here. The staff has always been very helpful to me and the clothes are fun to look at. It's not always the cheapest place to shop, but sometimes you come across a great deal. It's just about the luck of the day here. On the downside, they never have many of the well-known brands that they say they carry. more

Not all what's it's hyped up to be. 10/4/2005

I might've expected too much from a store that claims it will buy old name-brand clothing and sell you other name-brand items. It is heavily advertised in the past, but not at all what I expected. The selection was limited, and they were not willing to offer me anything for my clothing. Not a very nice environment either. The store was somewhat stuffy and you couldn't find anything worth buying. more

Where is the good stuff 8/5/2005

I have seen several commercials and advertisements for Plato’s Closet so I decided to stop by – overall a waste of time. Even though I did not try to sell them my cloths, I was disappointed with the selection and prices of the items they offer. The store was well organized and stocked, but I did not see a good selection of the “name brands” they claim to specialize in. more

I normally don't mind rooting through used clothes looking for a gem, but there were no gems to find here. All the clothes I could see were overly used and were either fit for a hooker or looked like a muumuu. Generally, you find a better quality/ variety at a used store like this, but in this case, just stick with the Goodwill store. more
