This restaurant/ tavern sits on the edge of Piedmont park, so the view is great. You can even bring your dog and sit on the patio. They brew much of their own beer and have a fun flare on the regular bar food. Often bands play on the patio as well. Check their web-site for updates. Also, they have deal that when it rains, they serve $1 pints of beer--check it out if you are on a budget!

This is a fun theater because they show a lot of independent films that other theaters in the area do not play. I was surprised to learn that they are owned by regal theaters. It is located in an interesting strip mall with club 112, a vegan grocery store and a photography store. Great place to go if you want something a little different, but you might need to research the movies you are going to see first--most are not advertised mainstream.

This is the largest movie theater I have been in. Years ago, the drive-in movie theater was in the same lot. Because there are so many screens at this theater, the parking is out of hand as are the lines. You must buy tickets in advance or show up very early to purchase at the door. There is always a huge line. It just seems like too much hassle to see a movie.

When I accompanied a friend to the Peachtree Ford Dealership, we found the saleswoman knowledgeable and helpful, but not pushy. My friend ended up with a great deal on his truck because they were running a sale (and he brought in a ringer to negotiate on his behalf). Over all it was a good experience.

I had fun, but it was a little pricey to see odoriferous animals. I realize that it costs a lot to maintain the animal's habitat, but I just did not enjoy as much as I had hoped. Even as a child, I was not terribly impressed (although that was a while ago). I hope that the new Atlanta Aquarium is more fun!

All the clothes I could see were overly used and were either fit for a hooker or looked like a muumuu. Generally, you find a better quality/ variety at a used store like this, but in this case, just stick with the Goodwill store.

This is your typical order-by-number Mexican food joint, but for some reason I am addicted to the food (and the Margaritas). My favorite is a chicken salad with diced avocado--it is the perfect level of spicy. But beware--there is a certain fried-food odor that permeates your clothing and hair. If you plan on going anywhere nice afterward, be prepared to change your clothes and spritz a little perfume.

This small privately owned restaurant took a little while to work out some of its kinks, but now it is a great place to try. The food is fresh and tasty. The owner--Howard--is often around to say hello and make sure your meal is satisfactory. I particularly enjoy the Spinach Salad and the Chicken Caesar Pita. (Some items are a little over-priced, but it is a private restaurant not a chain)

The seafood is excellent and the atmosphere is very relaxed. A slow jazz band plays in the bar area, which can be heard in the dining area as well. We went at night, but the view of the river would be great while it is still light outside. I particularly enjoyed that the wait staff was not hurried and there was plenty of space between the tables.

I recently changed my favorite pizza place to Oz's Pizza. The pizza has a great, fresh taste and is hand made. The atmosphere is similar to Mellow Mushroom--hole in the wall, but that adds to the place's charm. The staff at this location is helpful and friendly. I highly recommend it!
