Great Food! 9/19/2011

I took my entire family out to diner at Pat's last week. We had a great time as this is the perfect family environment. The fact that the food was Kosher was definitely an added plus since we believe they keep higher standards in slaughtering the animals. It was a big group so we had orders from the Salmon, to the Maestro Steak, to the Rib Eye and everyone loved their food. We had their special bread pudding for desert which was phenomenal. Overall, a great night out and we will do it again soon. more

They'll Whisk it Away 7/20/2010

Pat?s is our favorite restaurant. We don?t even keep kosher ?we just go there for the great food and service. My wife usually gets salmon when we dine out, and she considers Pat?s Cedar Planked Salmon to be the ?Gold Standard.? She says it?s the best salmon in town; so far no one else?s compares. I usually get beef dishes. Kosher cuts are limited so they don?t serve some of the ?finer? cuts, but their huge Maestro Steak is the tastiest steak I?ve ever had. The downside is the cost and since fat is one of the secrets to its flavor, it takes some work to trim it off ? just another of life?s tradeoffs. Pros: Dedication to satisfaction more

Why I Love Pat's 6/15/2010

My favorite part of my birthday is going to Pat's. I have been going there since I was 8. I get to go for my birthday. I am turning 11 soon and it is all i can think about! Do you know why? I feel like a princess each time I go. David knows my favorite dish (meatballs & spaghetti, heaven!), Max makes me a great cocktail (without alcohol), and friendly theresa always comes over to our table to shmooze. Pros: meatballs & breadpudding Cons: there isnt any more

Impeccable Service & Outstanding Food 6/15/2010

The only place my wife and I would dine in this town is PAT""S! We have always enjoyed every dining experience because of David, the most knowlegeadble and gracious head waiter, Theresa the most accomodating and sweetest Maitra d, and for their way of making every menu decision easy. Pros: David Lee, Theresa & Staff Cons: non more

BEST FOOD AND SERVICE EVER 6/15/2010

We are frequent visitors to Los Angeles and would never go back home to Florida without going to Pat's for dinner. The food is consistently the greatest., including our favorites...cedar plank salmon, cajun halibut, and those delicious desserts. ( especially the chocolate bread pudding).. On each visit we are always so welcomed by the hostess, Theresa and the manager, David Lee. David has always been very gracious and makes our dining experience one to remember. He always checks to make sure everyting is to our liking. We highly recommend Pat's to anyone who wants reasonably priced delicious kosher food, outstanding service, and fine dining. You will not be disappointed! Pros: The manager David Lee and his staff more

Bad customer service & DISGUSTING Manager 3/29/2010

I had always heared stories about the restaurant manager, mistreating customers but had never experienced it for myself. Our baby was crying when we went inside, so we took him outside and came back after five minutes when he calmed down. The hostess was hesitant to seat us & was nicely explaining that the owners were there and they were apparently giving her bad looks and I guess they have never had children because they don't know how they are. I kept explaining to her that he had just woken up so he cried for a little bit but that was it and he was not going to cry any more. But she kept saying ""the owners are here"" so my husband asked where the owners exactly were. The manager walked over & said what difference did it make... And that he was not gonna give us any service, so we turned around to leave but my husband asked one more time to talk to the owners. At that point the manager said ""this is a very big mistake"". Who does he think he is? The bouncer at a Vegas night club? Who says that? I still can't believe the whole thing. I am never EVER going back there again & since they also have a catering business, I am never going to hold events at establishments that allow only PAT's to cater at. They are disgusting and I have one message for them: If people keep coming back to you, it's probably because you are one of the few Kosher restaurants of your kind in L.A. And they don't have a lot of other choices. I am not upset with your hostess at all but your poor excuse of a manager is a real bully and I am truly disgusted by you. Have a nice life! more

Disgusting Treatment 2/2/2010

I have never been so disgusted by the way a restaurant goes about its business. Whats worse is that the waiters were fine and made mistakes, but it was the embarassing and condescending treatment by hostess and manager that had us walking out ashamed. Pros: The food was fine if overpriced Cons: Outrageous treatement by staff and manager more

My Favorite Restaurant in L.A.! 1/4/2009

My Favorite Restaurant in Los Angeles! I have been here many times and have never had a bad meal and/or service. The Steaks are to die for, however I have had the fish and that was also excellent. Thumbs up! Pros: Great Food and service Cons: Parking can be a bit difficult more

They strive for the best kosher dining in LA 12/22/2008

I ate at Pats with a group of friends and found the service excellent! Too many times with kosher dining, the food is sub-par and the service is worse (Delice Bistro is a prime example of awful service and worse food). David Lee, the manager was the best at Pat's. We ordered the special of the day, which was stuffed chicken breast and it was a tad on the dry side but still great. David came over and asked how our food was and we told him it was fine but a little dry. He insisted to remake the food but we still said it was fine and ate it all. Next thing we know, our bill came and he took all the entrees off the bill. We were in shock! He tried so hard to please us and we never asked him to take the food off the bill, but he did. He is truly an amazing example of great customer service! I love that place and David made it even better. Pros: Great food and service Cons: A little pricey.. more

Best ""Kosher"" in the west 10/29/2008

Although service was accidentally bad, the food however was the best experience I have in KOSHER restaurant. Clean, Reasonable $$, Respectable. Pros: Food Cons: Parking more

Best Kosher Dining in the West 12/16/2006

We go to Pat's once or twice a month and it is without question the best kosher dining in the west. We just came out of Prime Grill, which was just terrible notwithstanding the over $250 ticket for three of us. Pat's on the other hand has consistently courteous and excellent service and outstanding food. A few favorites: the Meatball appetizer and from the entrees the Chili Rub Steak, Ribs, Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, and definitely the Duck. Deserts are good but not great. It's not cheap but is is so good that it is certainly a fair value. Entrees typically are between $20 and $30 and we usually come out a bit under $50 per person, with some appetizers and drinkls and including the tip. If you want or need to be at a Kosher restaurant, definitely go to Pat's...you'll enjoy the experience. Pros: Great food, great service, easy access, and valet parking. Just a great place. Cons: Not much bad too say: bread is recently improved but could be better and valet is a little slow. more
