Pros: Clean and Neat
All kinds of Japanese Goods
(including snacks, some make ups,
cheap lunch box etc.
Two locations. There is another one in San
Gabriel
There are some other small stores and
bakery in the same plaza. You can walk
around and spend half of your day there
Coupons and sales all year round!!( I bought
several packs of kobe beef there with low
price)
Cons: Parking(you need to get the validation,
but there is a nice parking structure there)
The price is a little bit high (but Japanese
stuff is supposed to be expensive)

The Wine House in Los Angeles is an amazing wine shop, truly world class. They have a huge selection of wines from around the world, broken up by region and varietal. The prices are fair. They have some tastings and classes, though they are on the expensive side. Good selection of liquor as well. Lots of different cognacs and tequillias, and a good selection of half bottles as well.

Great place to buy alcohol from if you are looking for something nice. They have racks of wine and all kinds of bottles that are so expensive you should not even be looking at it through the glass case and all the other stuff protecting it from human curiousity. Of course they have the "normal" alcohol too. The people working there also know their stuff and they are very helpful. They will come around and ask if you need any help. I asked one of the workers for a recommendation on something and he asked me about my budget and what I would be using it for and he picked out an excellent bottle for me.

The Westwood Farmer's Market offers some great fresh produce - some of which is at great discounted prices. Not all the food is organic, however, plenty is. Also, there is much more than just great produce. There are plenty of great prepared dishes from various international regions. Asian and South American food are someo of the highlights. Most of the people working the Westwood Farmer's Market are extremely helpful and friendly. You are often able and encouraged to sample the various produce. I believe the Westwood Farmer's Market lasts from about one o'clock in the afternoon until sundown. That is plenty of time to set aside and schedule a visit. In season produce is of course a plus. Not only is produce in season at the peak of taste, it is also at some of the best prices around town. If you question it, there is a Ralphs directly adjacent to the Westwood Farmer's Market. Go in and compare price of in season produce. The Farmer's Market is a nice afternoon experience with great food.

Palermo is a favorite to my family and to many others in the area. It has a "you're in my house" feel to it and you're always welcome there. The food is great from the pasta to the pizza to the desert. I guess with so much volume they don't have to have the prices up either. It's affordable as well as enjoyable. The owner can be seen around the establishment on nearly every visit and you feel well taken care of.
Convenient parking out back by valet and a movie theater right across the street. We chose Palermo for anniversaries, birthdays, and any day at all.

More
This compact little store manages to fit a lot of high end product into such a small space. There's a deli with gourmet sandwiches and a host of other hot foods; a bakery; Godiva chocolates; freshly prepared sushi (also excellent); and a suprisingly large selection of fine wine. And, of course, there are groceries. Because of the small space, the store's selection is limited but if you're not attached to a specific brand name you should be able to get what you need. Prices in general are higher than, say, Ralph's and sales are infrequent.

I like shopping at food 4 less for many reasons. They have great produce at low prices. They have some good deals every other week. I like the way the store is organized. The only thing I have about food 4 less is that you have to bag your own groceries.
