Atmosphere is Very Relaxing 8/17/2010

Patrizios has good food for the price. I like the frozen peach Bellini and sitting at the outdoor patio. Service is a slow. However, the atmosphere is very relaxing. I like the pasta with clams and spicy red sauce. more

BEWARE 6/5/2008

if you are the type of person that likes to spend your money at establishments that take care of their employees, then patrizios is not the place for you.\r \r the management at patrizio's is getting rid of their best employees with no warning or explanation whatsoever. they are sneaky and slimy and have no regard for others. more

Feels like home (if your home is a villa in tuscany) 2/28/2008

I've been dining at Patrizios for several years now, and in my opinion it's one of the best restaurants in Dallas. It's hard to beat drinking a frozen peach bellini while sitting under the huge leafy oak tree on their outdoor patio- and the inside is just as cozy and inviting. Whenever I have guests in from out of town, I always bring them to Patrizios. In addition to offering consistently delicious food at prices that are more than reasonable, I have always found the service to be impeccable. I noticed a review on this site that smears manager Patrick Johnson, but I have found him to be especially gracious- he even remembers my husband and I by name. I just can't say enough good things about this fabulous Dallas dining institution. It's wonderful! Pros: Ambience, Service, Food, Pricepoints, Valet parking, HP Village window shopping Cons: Often a wait- but it's worth it (and that's what the bar is for!) more

Still a great place 2/21/2008

We went back to Dallas Patrizio after almost a year, and it was fun. It is casual and comfortable with fair prices. The patio is better than ever, and our server seemed anxious to please us. We were impressed with the specials also. The only problem was the wait to get in... Pros: good food service Cons: wait to get a table more

avoid at all costs 12/21/2007

we have been to patrizio's quite a few times. food is mediocre at best.. Went there today and had the most disgusting experience we have had in dallas restaurants. 25 minutes after we ordered the waitress came back and told us that they were out of the entree i had ordered. i had ordered the lamb shank..after the waitress sold it big time!!!!\r when i asked for the manager, all he said was he was sorry. his name is Patrick Johnson and the man did not try at all to make up for the disaster!! The waitress actuallly said that it was not her problem and that why were we baliming her!! When I mentioned that we will never come back she responded ' that is fine. don't come back'....so much for fine dining in highland park. \r \r Mr. Johnson was a character like no one else. When asked who his boss was he said ' i am my boss'...and he is probably all of 20years old with the intellect of a 5 year old. \r \r we walked out shocked and utterly disgusted....never are we going back. and we strongly recommend to you to go somewhere else because Dallas has a lot of great restaurants. nobody needs to put up with horrible service and ridiculous attitude like we experienced..without getting a sincere apology..forget a decent meal! Pros: it is in highlnad park Cons: very bad service and disgusting attitude more

Everything was Okay... 10/6/2007

I decided to check this place out based on the ""good reviews"". It was a Saturday night and the place was packed which looked promising. Our waiter didn't speak good English and he forgot to put in our appetizer order. The food arrived quickly but my pasta was cold and the crust on my boyfriend's calzone was hard and cold. It tasted like it was pre-cooked and reheated for the night. The service was also slow, our waiter didn't check up on us until we finished our meal and gave us the check. We will not be making the effort to dine again. Pros: Seated quickly Cons: Cold food more

New Ownership - beware of higher prices 12/3/2006

With new ownership the value is not what it used to be. Wines about about double the price and the food is pricier too. Good food, but not worth the new price point when there are better high-end italian places in Dallas. They are going to turn it into a high-end chain. more

I love this place! 11/20/2006

This place offers delicious food for a good price. The crab claws are amazing!! I like how its located right by a movie theater too~ perfect date spot Pros: food Cons: wait time more

Excellent Establishment 10/24/2006

No matter which aspect of Patrizio you evaluate, the result is almost a perfect ten. The food, atmosphere, service, price, and attractive patrons are all top notch. I have eaten here many times for lunch and dinner and I have enjoyed it every time. Do make reservations though as they get quite crowded. Also, parking is sometimes a hassle so arrive early to find a spot. Enjoy! more

Not Friendly with Young People 9/13/2006

Have been going to both locations for near 4 years now. Never had any problems at the Highland Park location in the least! Please Avoid the Plano location if you are under 30 or even appear to look under 30. With a packed patio the manager managed to check on every table personally except ours. I was denied a $40 bottle of wine because I my fiancee happens to be under 21. I was only allowed to drink a glass at a time that would be brought from the back? In the years that I've been going there I've never been told that before and it seemed awfully rude. I understand that there may be some kind of law regarding this but if there were, they would probably should have been following it since day 1. Wont be returning. Pros: Good Food and scenery. Cons: If you're not old, you obviously dont have any money to eat there. more

Best Kept Secret in DFW 7/14/2006

This place has enormous class and sophistication at a great price. The first time I went I couldn't believe the prices especially considering the location and the beauty of this restaurant. If you need to impress out of town guests and you don't mind the wait take them here. The food is also very good and I have tried many different items on the menu. If you have kids with you the pizza is a win-win situation for everyone. Pros: Beautiful, great food, awesome ambience Cons: If only they would take reservations............ more

Good Food / Good Value.... reminds me of home. I definitely recommend it. more

My Favorite 6/27/2005

This is by far my favorite Italian restaurant. The food is spectacular and the prices are so reasonable. It has a very fin atmosphere with pop music playing and an extensive and inexpensive wine list as well. Definitely try their bellini's-one of the best I've had. If its a nice day outside try and get a seat in the patio. Its also a great place for a large group. The only thing is expect to wait at least 30 minutes for a table since they don't take resrvations they tend to get very busy, but its definitely worth the wait-just head to their bar, its a fun area as well. The location is great too-you can take a stroll through Highland Village. You can bet I'll be back again soon! Pros: Food, Price, Ambiance Cons: No reservation, Long Wait, Parking more
