Best

It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at goo.gl/FPxYD They have some of the best hotel deals on the web!

Worst

Probably won't go back. Good but nothing special and the food wasn't as fresh as I like. Also had trouble finding something appealing and interesting on the menu.

Very Good, interesting food.....different than any other place in town...and worth the experience! 11/3/2006

I've always had good food and a fun time at this jovial and creative food joint. You'll get different fare than the usual PNW menu items found in most other restaurants of this price range and trendiness. I like their 'Southern/Cajun"" flavors and they really make an effort to make the usual ingredients (clams, crab cakes, polenta/grits, salmon, sausage, pizza, ice cream)...alot more inventively prepared...and all I've had there has been tasty, a good value and beautifully presented! more

Abrupt Waiter and Expensive Bar 11/2/2006

This place has potential. A group of girlfriends went out for a birthday celebration and feasted on the 25 for $25 menu. I thought the food was good and everyone enjoyed their dinners (the gumbo, mushroom fricassee, butternut squash ravioli, catfish, chocolate cake and sorbets were all given the thumbs up). The cocktails here are rather expensive (can't even get the cheap house stuff if you wanted) - made me feel like I was dining in New York City instead of Seattle. But we are a young group so maybe older diners with larger salaries can afford multiple glasses of $8 wine. The waiter really diminished our dining experience. He was obviously irritated that we were ordering off the 25 for $25 menu and rushed us through our ordering. If anyone had questions or was a little indecisive he would answer curtly and move on to the next order as fast as possible. I understand it's the dinner rush but at least give me a minute to decide what I want to eat! This restaurant is pretty small but the tables aren't crammed in to fit more so you're not bumping up against your fellow diners. I did see some people being seated in the bar area for dinner which I imagine left a lot to be desired with regards to atmosphere. I would come back but probably on an off hour so I don't have to bother with over-worked waiters. Pros: Good food, great hostess Cons: Rushed waiters with snotty attitudes more

Not impressed 5/8/2006

Hostess was unhelpful, so we sat in the bar, our waitress was slow and inattentive. The menu is kind of strange, not a lot of things to pick from, and a lot of it is trendy foo-foo crap that you've never heard of. Overpriced and portions were small. more

Bland, Bland, & Disappointing 3/23/2006

I went here based on a coworkers recommendation, but was thouroughly disappointed. My ""tangerine buerre blanc crabcakes"" had no hint of tangerine, but did have a strange cinnamon-esque spice mixed with the crab-- a bad taste which overpowered any dungeness taste there would have been. The caesar salad dressing is bland, and the lettuce is served whole leaf style, you cut it up yourself, most inconvenient during a business lunch. Lunch service was slow, and my drink wasn't refilled until I was ready to leave. What a disappointment! Pros: great atmosphere, friendly staff Cons: bland food, slow service more

Values their customers 11/15/2005

We had a very large group for dinner on a Wednesday night. However, every item and second-choice item our table asked for was out.. this was on top of the exceptionally long wait time for our wine and dinner choices. However, not only did the manager offer her apologies, the meal and wine was on the house. When we finally did get a meal and a bottle, it was certainly mouth-watering. The food was excellent and the attention the staff gave to making our nights memorable as a great (as opposed to tortorous) experience motivated all of us to return with a larger crowd and larger tips. Pros: Value, Staff Cons: Crowds more

Drinks & apps are great, the meal was average 11/11/2005

The appetizers are creative and colorful. The drink menu had a great unique selection (vanilla lemon drop!). After having some hush puppies and oysters, I was certain that Alexandria's may be replaced for our favorite cajun in Seattle. Then dinner came... such a let down. It's not that it was bad, but it certainly paled in comparison to the appetizers and drinks. The 4 of us tried 3 dishes. I had the beef tenderloin, which i would suggest but the blue cheese au gratin potatoes were tasteless. My buddy had the ribs, which had little meat but he liked the sauce. The ladies had the flash fried catfish, which was the best of the meals but still nothing to write home about. Service was not only prompt but incredibly pleasant. I'll probably go back and try lunch, the staff alone have inspired me to try it again. Pros: Great drink menu, Original tasty apps, Outstanding service Cons: Bland main course more

another whacky place 7/19/2005

It seems as if the theme of seatle is to have a whacky place serving contemporary American food (see other reviews). This place was actually a bit more sophisticated than the university based eatery. Service was very professional and attentive. The food was really good. Pork back ribs were excellent and my husbands ham and cheese macaroni was whimsical and interesting. Pretty good place in a neat setting. We would recommend it to any friends coming into town. Pros: food, service, whimsy Cons: parking more

Great Food Great Service! 6/9/2005

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant! From the moment we stepped in we were greated by extremely friendly waitstaff/host etc and never felt ignored. The food was incredible! I recommend the ribs while my husband loved the salmon with pancetta. Once again the service was great-prompt and attentive throughout the meal-very satisfying. Loved the new dessert menu. This place is lively and fun with a great menu, atmosphere and staff. Highly recommended! Pros: service, food , atmosphere Cons: a little drafty, menu layout more

Great Happy Hour! 3/24/2005

Sazerac has an amazing happy hour! Great food, great drinks and great prices! We ordered a combo of items - chicken, fries, veggies, & pizza. Everything was really yummy! The only problem I had was the server's attitude. She seemed to be really mad to be working and was actually pretty rude to us. I'm hoping she was just having a bad day because I don't think all the servers are like that. But, the happy hour made up for her bitter attitude! more

Sazeracs - Flatliners, Greg and Megan! 6/5/2004

Everyone visiting (or living near) Seattle should visit Sazeracs! You WILL come back! I highly recommend sitting at the bar and ordering a Flatliner -- Not only is this the best espresso drink made, but watching the bartender flame the drink and make sparks fly is worth the price of this delectable drink! Order one and you are quarenteed to feel special!!! After three years of testing, I can attest that no one makes a Flatliner as good as Sazeracs. The food is excellent, creative, cooked exactly to order and has a beautiful presentation. This is only topped by the fantastic service!! Megan greeted us with such a genuinely warm welcome that we knew we would have an awesome evening. Greg, the bar manager, took excellent care of us that we had to stay at the bar! Sazeracs, THANK YOU for such a memorable evening! Heres to many repeat visits! Pros: Fun & Flavorful, Incredible Staff, Fabulous & Affordable more
