Best Consistent Food 1/3/2012

Excellent Food!!! Very difficult to maintain a Kosher restaurant, yet the owner has managed to do it consistently well. The food is always good. The challahs are the best available commercially anywhere!!! Very nice to deal with on special orders. A great benefit to Dallas to have Natalie's here. more

BAD 12/9/2010

I came to the US from Israel 11 years ago and I spent the last 6 years in NYC. Therefore my benchmark is quite reliable. This restaurant is far far below par. Expensive - the markups on some grocery products are just insane. Walking away made me wonder whether I should quit my day job and just open a proper Israeli restaurant/market. Maybe you can fool the average American folks here in the Dallas area, but not me. more

Excellent restaurants, I loved it !!! 9/1/2010

It is a shame that you always see bad reviews on good restaurants. I personally was there many times and also take my employees for lunch there at least 3 or 4 times a month and it is always great ! The owners are always smiling and very nice people. In Dallas, this is the only Kosher Mediterranean food restaurant and instead of people appreciating that, they go and put bad reviews. It is absolutley normal that a restaurant of this class is a little bit more expensive than MacDonald's ( To all the cheap people who placed bad reviews.) Everyone knows that a kosher restaurant is a little more expensive, but Natalie's Kitchen is very affordable for Mediterranean foods. They also have lunch specials for about $10 which is perfectly normal. \r \r The only bad thing i could say about Natalie's Kitchen is that Friday being the shabbos preparation day, the place is a little bit too busy because of their famous Chala's that everyone likes so much. \r \r I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have a good time eating something out of the ordinary. I particularly loved the lamb kabobs. \r \r I don't understand, why these people place bad reviews, i have personally seen people come back to the restaurant several times and these are the same people who place bad reviews. Whenever there is a successful place in Dallas, people get jealouse i guess. If a restaurant is successful it is the proof that the service and food are very good. So please people, stop putting bad reviews because it only makes you look like frustrated people, obviously this place is always busy and people love it !!! more

Worst place to eat in my opinion.?? 8/26/2010

\r 1. Food is served in tiny portions. Mortifyingly expensive and on top of it-it's tasteless and unappetizing to say the least. 2. The servers and owners are rude, impolite and unfriendly .some of those waiters are just classless... 3. At time the owner will be “over friendly” and not in a good way… 4. You can never be certain about the price of anything from their menu nor their groceries. (from the attached store) Per instance, about a month ago I bought a small cabbage salad from the store it cost me $4.99. 2 weeks ago it was $5.99. Today it was $6.99. Absurd! 5. Make sure you check your bill each time before you pay. I personally, found “small” mistakes almost each time i bought there. 6. However, checking your recite over there is very hard to do since they will never print out a standard recite where you can see the food item you bought and its cost. Over there everything is: the “special of the day” item. This is easy to do when you buy 1 or 2 things. But try to buy more than ...? More »\r 1. Food is served in tiny portions. Lose your appetite. and will still stay hungry. more

AMAZING !!! FEELS LIKE EATING IN ISRAEL !! 4/29/2010

HI , I went to visit Dallas a month ago , and my friends brought me to this restaurant !! I haven't eaten like this since I got back from Israel !! Very fresh meat unlike other restaurants out there , great menu . Great place , very polite and friendly staff !! and for all of you who said the price was too high , it is worth every cent , unless you like going to cheap fast-food restaurants to buy a 3 dollar burger who will make you throw up and get fat . this restaurant is for people who want to eat healthy , fresh , kosher quality food. :) Loved it and will be sure to come back next time !! Pros: very good hummus and Shawarma !! more

Best Restaurant EVER !!! 4/29/2010

Recently, i was visiting Dallas for business and found this great Glatt Kosher Restaurant called Natalie's Kitchen. This is a great family owned restaurant with warm and smiling faces, the food was excellent, the shawarma was finally a real shawarma. This is the first time, that i ate shawarma with a taste of Israel. There is also a very convenient store where i bought israeli Halva and Bamba for my trip back. I recommend anyone who visits Dallas and is looking for a great time and tasty food to visit Natalite's Kitchen, the prices were very affordable for very generous plates. I also really enjoyed the desert, which was a parve Cheesecake, first time of my life, that i see an actual Parve cheesecake and it tasted better than a dairy one ! The waitress was very polite, and kept coming back and asking if everything was to my liking...that's real service. The spicy sauce was delicious but if you're not used to eat serious spicy sauce, go slow...I give this restaurant 5 Stars with pride !! Thank you Natalie !!! Pros: Excellent FOOD, Service and Nice people ! Cons: none. everything was just great. more

If you don't try, you're crazy! 4/15/2010

hands down, best food in dallas for kosher food and a great experience for the non jews Pros: outstandingly delicious food at a great price Cons: always packed! more

EXCELLENT restaurant! 12/20/2009

Don't believe the bizarre negative comments in these other reviews; I've been to Natalie's probably 10 times since it opened, and haven't seen anything like described. The whole staff, including Natalie, have been nothing but friendly on every visit. But go for the food: the hummas is by FAR the best you'll find in Dallas, and the Kafta kabob is just incredibly good. In the culinary wasteland that is Dallas, Natalie's is a shining star. Pros: Best hummas, kabobs more

AVOID THIS RESTAURANT LIKE THE PLAGUE. Horrible People!!? 10/22/2009

Owners are NOT Shomer Shabbos!! Owners and workers with the exception of one person at the restaurant are rude and dishonest. (the 24 or 25 yr old guy with the glasses that usually cooks the food is a very friendly and only nice person that works at the restaurant) The prices for the food are OUTRAGEOUSLY high and the food portions are OUTRAGEOUSLY tiny. You need to order 3 main meals just to get full. Order their sandwiches. Don't order anything else as you will just be paying an extra $10 for a tiny portion of rice as a side dish. The place reeks of cigarettes. Natalie's husband sits right outside next to the restaurant with his group of friends all day long and smokes cigarettes consistently throughout the day. You can smell the cigarette smoke from inside the restaurant. Avoid this place if you don't like second hand smoke. The owner and her husband are HORRIBLE individuals who will overcharge you on the food. The waitresses have a HUGE attitude and will demand that you tip them extra. Every friend of mine that has eaten at Natalie's has had a problem with them. They have been known to throw away their top customers. They are EXTREMELY arrogant people who do NOT honor their coupons or prices in any way. I had an important business meeting and me being the Jewish person I suggested to my non-Jewish clients to eat at Natalie's and boy was that a mistake. The 25 yr old Natalie, her 65 yr old husband Yochanen, and Natalies Sister (I think her name is Tzipporah) and two other workers ( I don't know their names) got into a big fight with a couple of people at the restaurant who didn't do anything wrong in the first place. Needless to say that will be my last time I ever show up to eat in that restaurant. My non-Jewish clients couldn't believe that Jewish people could behave in that manner. Anyways the food portions are tiny. I recommend Esther's Restaurant if you are looking for a good place to eat at. There is peace and quiet there and they give you decent food portions at a reasonable price. Rarely do I ever write bad reviews but this place is an exception. They are TRULY a group of arrogant and DISGUSTING individuals. I don't even know if you can call them human beings or not with their embarrassing behavior in public. Please if you are NOT Jewish and you make the grave mistake of visiting this restaurant please don't think that all Jewish people behave the way that they do. Pros: Nothing Cons: Everything more

Shame,shame,shame 8/20/2009

Its just a shame that they are using the fact that Israeli food is so hard to come by in the Dallas area. I don't like buying there, I use tom thumb, Albertson and others but if I really need an Israeli product I have no choice. She sales borekass for like a dollars a piece when a large box from Angel costs her only $13. She makes over 500% in profit on her own people ( I'm an Israeli). I'm sure that most of the people that rated this place as being the ""best"" just dont know any better, I come from Brooklyn and I can ,make the same food at home, so no way I'm paying $20+ for a plate of food. They also trick the people, they say that they have falafel and shawarma but it's only for launch because god probed if they make any thing less then $16 per a person and the reality is most people come there to eat dinner and not launch (sorry some of us actually work) Pros: Israeli food Cons: VERY HIGH PRICES more

Extremely unhappy and upset 9/26/2008

I went to this restaurant and was stunned with the way I was treated. The waitresses were fine, but as we were eating, a woman errupted from the kitchen and began to yell at people. I assume this was the owner since people were saying ""natali calm down"". I was extremely distressed by the way she was treating the workerg, yelling at a woman in front of everyone for misplacing a newspaper or something. The food was alright though I probably wouldnt return there just because of the food. if i could give it zero stars, i would Pros: waitresses were pleasant Cons: everything else more

Best shawarma and hummus in the states! 2/9/2008

I have been to many restaurants that serve this type of food, shawarma, hummus, kabob, etc. and I can honestly say that natalies kitchen is the best I have had in america. The service was good and the people very friendly, they made you feel comfortable, We enjoyed ourselves. more

yikes 12/14/2007

The food was only so-so and the customer service was horrible. Our waitress was especially rude and short with us, and we definitely won't be back. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.\r \r Pros: not a lot of crowds, never a wait to be seated Cons: the customer service more
