Don't trust the service department 10/4/2021

I made an appointment two weeks in advance to get tires for my Jetta, so that they would have time to make sure they had the tires in stock. I took off of work to drop off the car, and they told me that the tires were not in stock and that I would have to come back another day. I took time off work on another day and cleared with them in advance that I would need the car back on the same day, which they agreed to, since changing a tire is simple. At 4pm, they told me that they had not started working on the car yet and would not finish until the following day. Now I'm stuck having to Uber to and from work because even though they wasted my time twice and made me take off work extra for their mistakes, they refuse to provide a loaner or do anything to fix the problem. more

Worst Service Ever 3/7/2011

Worst service ever. If I could go back in time and do *anything* else with my money, other than give it to Momentum Volkswagen on Richmond, I would. The salesman hit on me during the test drive. The service department is UNBELIEVABLY unhelpful. Scheduling a service over the phone is next to impossible. The entire experience has been hideous--every time I have anything to do with them. Shame on me for not 1.reporting the salesman at the time. 2. ending the relationship with this business, sooner and 3. for not rating the poor experience sooner. In an economy where businesses are begging for your $ this one seems to not even notice that there are options. I'm exercising mine! more

Worst Dealer Service Department I Have Expereinced 1/1/2011

The culture at momentum is to sell vehicles first, service is not even a concern and it has been this way since I bought my first Jetta in 2005. Here are 3 examples of how backwards they treat customers: ?September 2007 - my check engine light came on after 6,000 miles and I called the dealership immediately. She told me it would be 3-4 weeks until they could fit me in...for a check engine light. She said it was probably nothing so just don't drive on it too much and it should be fine until the appointment!! I drove straight to the dealership and demanded that they look at it. They said it was probably the gas cap and unscrewed it, then screwed it back on and told me to drive for 10-15 miles and see if it stops. It didn't. It was a faulty sensor. July 2008 Took my car in for a warranty service and they had to order a part so they gave my wife a loaner vehicle. She picked it up and on her way to work was pulled over for improper registration and tags on the vehicle. Then they told me to drive it back to the dealership and they would look into it. Eventually they agreed to bring another vehicle and exchange it. On the way home the wheel well wall came apart and started dragging on the road in the middle of rush hour traffic. Once again they wanted me to use my insurance to tow it to the dealership and they told us to pay the ticket! December 2010 - got a free loaner car because they messed up my trunk latch during my last service and I had a warranty recall on the transmission. I drove it 18 miles to my home, parked it in the garage. When I was returning the vehicle I had a flat tire. I called the dealership and they said I was responsible for it so I should take it to discount tire. Discount couldn't fix it because it was damage to the interior sidewall. VW charged me $130 for a new tire, because it was my responsibility?? I paid the fee knowing that this is the absolute last dollar I will ever pay to momentum...ever. So a warranty recall and them repairing their previous mistake cost me $130. more

I brought my car in for headlamp replacement for my V8 Touareg. They took it upon themselves to replace all ignition coils as part of recall. Problem is, they never put the covers back on the engine after replacing the coils, I SAW these covers on the engine with my own eyes only a few days before. They were there. When I went to pick up car, they were GONE. Derrick, the service manager tried to tell me they were missing when I brought the car in. Problem is, they were there days before and nobody else had opened the hood! When I told him this he shrugged it off and said he disagreed. When I asked him how much to replace these he said "over 400 dollars". So let me get this straight- I bring them a $55K car and they take off parts and do not put them back, then try to gouge me for 400 more dollars? THIS PLACE IS THE WORST. DO NOT GO HERE unless you like to be ripped off. I am done with all VW products. I also have a Lexus and BMW and have never had such issues including in my opinion, deception and lies. VW USA needs to disavow any connection with these charlatans. STAY AWAY!!!!!! more
