I DONT GET IT> 4/17/2006

Called to make an appointment and found out my stylist no longer was there. I asked where he went and no one seemed to know. I was pursuaded to come in to another stylist even though Id been seeing Christian for years. What an excrutiating experience! Worst cut ever. Then, I got his contact info from another stylist at Mode. Why do salons lie, we dont go for the salon we go for who does our hair the best. I just dont get it. For anyone who has been looking for him and the best color and cut possible: Trine Studios in Ballard. A true artist and a professional who can help all of us who need to look our best daily. Less of a Haircut, More of an Experience 3/30/2006

The moment you cross the threshold you are transported into a place of warmth, comfort and professionalism beyond compare. Celeste gave me one of the best haircuts I have ever had. The 10 minute massage is not bad either. What's more? When you get the bill, you realize what a bargain the entire experience is. Thanks everyone for treating me right. Selina is an Outstanding Stylist! 3/12/2006

I received the best haircut I've ever had the other day at Mode Organic Salon Downtown. Selina is very attentive - she listened to my thoughts and discussed many great additional options and ideas. After a relaxing scalp massage, she did a very detailed cut in a short amount of time. She has an upbeat personality and pleasant demeanor. Since my cut, I get compliments on my hair on a daily basis - it's incredible! I will definitely return, and have already recommended her to many others. Why this girl is only charging $35 for a haircut is beyond me! After going through a string of bad stylists at other salons, I booked an appointment at Mode on the recommendation of a friend. I am thrilled with my new hair and so is my husband! She took time to listen to me about what had been going wrong with my last few cuts and made suggestions to me that really worked. She even gave me a very nice hand massage while I was under the dryer! I'm happy to say I've finally found a stylist I can trust! BTW, Mode's manicures are quite amazing as well! Great experience and fabulous color! 1/26/2006

My first visit to a salon in Seattle after moving here from the other coast, and Joe at Mode made it a happy one. I am a bit of a diva when it comes to color and cuts, and Joe worked with me talking through what I like, what I want to do over the next year w/ my hair, and how much maintainence I am willing to do before making his recommendation. The salon was comfortable, down-to-earth and friendly. I loved the organic products, and I will be purchasing more on my next trip. I highly recommend Joe. Great Experience at Mode Downtown 1/8/2006

Chelsea at Mode Salon Downtown (on 4th and Pike) gave me a great haircut and made my visit such a pleasant experience. First she used a wonderful oil to massage my scalp--I really think it cleaned all the gunky product out of my hair, and the scalp massage was wonderful! Then, after washing with yummy products, she gave me a cut that makes me look much younger--and believe me, I appreciate that! She worked with the kind of smallish face that I have, and gave me a cut that goes with my lifestyle, which does not include much time for fussing at the mirror. Chelsea is Amazing! 1/5/2006

I'd been hearing great things about Mode for a while but never tried them because their Roosevelt location was not convenient for me. But after seeing them win Best Hair Salon in Seattle Magazine and finding out that they just opened a second salon downtown I could resist no longer. I called the downtown location and booked an appointment with Chelsea. She is Amazing! She took the time to find out what I wanted and was really honest about what would work well and what would not work so well with my face shape. My color and hair cut are both incredible and the compliments are non stop! The moisturizing hand massage while my color was processing was the nicest touch. I found her prices to be very reasonable in comparison to other downtown salons especially considering the results. I would recommend her to anyone! Organic Facials! Wooo Hooo! 1/4/2006

I have been a hair client of Mode for a while now... Fabulous! Fabulous! Fabulous! So when they opened their second location downtown (close to where I work) and added organic spa services to the menu I had to give it a try. I booked a facial with Julie using a new line of organic spa products called Eminence from Hungary. It was absolutely delightful! Julee made me feel very comfortable and explained all the great benefits of the products. They smelled so good I wanted to eat them! Afterwards, I got a mineral makeup lesson & application from Michael and I have to say... without a doubt the man knows his stuff! When I got home my husband's jaw dropped to the floor! That was all I needed to pick up the phone and schedule another appointment for next month! Pros: Relaxing, Comfortable, Great Service Cons: Downtown Parking more

Fab stylist 12/19/2005

I had a fantastic experience at Mode Downtown with stylist extraordinaire, Molly. She was a great listener and considerate about my anxiety with a new look. She walked me through every detail with great suggestions and always asked if I was comfortable with the plans. I've been getting raves about my shorter cut and highlights! Molly offered to fit me in the next day if I was uncomfortable with the color. She wanted me to feel good about the new look and said she'd tone it down if my husband fainted. He loved it - even after waiting for me for over an hour w/ our dog because my car broke down and had to be towed, but I didn't want to miss my Mode appointment! I feel very lucky this holiday season for a patient husband and a fab stylist like Molly. Thanks, Molly! more

Sigh. 12/15/2005

First, let me say this: Molly did everything in her power to fix what went wrong. She truly did. And for that, I am appreciative. But it was wrong. All wrong. The color, the cut--you name it. I was crushed. No one wants to look bad, and I certainly didn't go in there looking for a bad hair experience. I should also mention that I just moved here. This was my first experience with a Seattle salon. Perhaps I should just fly home for haircuts/color. So disappointed. Pros: Solicitous service Cons: Hated my hair. more

The best salon experience I have ever had. The atmosphere is extremely relaxing, the staff is very friendly, and the stylist, Molly, was fabulous! She listened and questioned me to make sure I was getting the hair style I wanted. She answered all of my questions and took her time in cutting my hair (along with a great head massage). Having just recently moved into the area, I was very hesitant about trying a new salon. I read the previous reviews about Mode Organic Salon and decided to make an appointment. I left there relaxed and extremely happy with my haircut and purchases of hair products. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this salon to anyone! more

Chelsea works miracles!!! 11/27/2005

I recently visited Seattle on an extended business trip and badly needed my hair cut and colored. I found Mode on the internet and when I called they recommended me to see Chelsea. I have never been happier with my hair. Before my service she discussed my face shape and skin tones and achieved a beautiful look for me. I also love the products they use at Mode, I stocked up on travel sizes! I hope to visit Seattle again even if it is only for my hair. Pros: close to hotel, reasonable price more

This is the best news- we finally have my favorite salon within walking distance of work and all the shopping! Joe from Mode Organic is the BEST hairstylist in Seattle - he does the most incredible work with color and cuts and has been voted by Citysearch the last fews years as Best Salon in his Roosevelt location. I know the secret will be out shortly that there is a new salon downtown so I will be booking my appts out for a year. Run, don't walk, to the new location downtown Seattle, right above Ben Bridge on 4th Avenue. Pros: Color, Cut, Price more

Hillary is a star 3/30/2005

I was recommended to Timm's by a friend . My color was messed up and Hillary saved the day and fixed my color and gave me the cutest modern cut I've ever had! They deserve at least a 98 rateing! Pros: good price, great space, nice people more
