Mobile Mechanic

RUN FOR THE HILLS! The mechanic seemed slow like something was wrong with him. He was chewing tobacco and spitting all around my car. I explained that my battery was brand new so that couldn’t be the issue but he insisted it was. So he had me purchase a brand new battery then installed it, costing me $300 for parts and labor and the CAR STILL DIDN’T WORK!\r \r He had the nerve to charge $35 for the trip to the auto parts store which was literally a 5 minute drive around the corner. I feel robbed and want my money back. I tried to call the auto parts store to see if I could get a refund for the battery I just brought but was informed that if it was installed they can’t take it back. UGH! \r \r Before the mechanic left (leaving my car still not working) he said the problem is my ac compressor and he'll charge an EXTRA $219 for the labor and I have to buy the parts which will total out to be an extra $500 if I decide to get that done.. These people must be crazy if they think I’m wasting anymore of my hard earned money on them. \r \r I called the manager/dispatcher to explain how I spent all this money for nothing and couldn’t even get a refund from the auto parts store about my battery but I was talking to a brick wall. Customer service is nonexistent with them.\r \r I went to the BBB to complain about being charged for NOTHING! I put the complaint in a week ago and the company still hasn’t responded because they know they’re wrong for what they did to me and just won’t own up to it. \r more

Very disappointed. Mechanic appeared to be high, though I'm just speculating. He was here less than 5 minutes, and charged me 60.00 to tell me i needed a new battery. All he did was jump the car. Maybe it's the typical Wal Mart customer service I had to endure after that, but 160.00 later and replacing the battery myself has me feeling like i just got taken to the cleaners. more

I could not believe the reviews I read about the Mobile Mechanic. A few days ago when my car broke down on my way home from work I called Mobile Mechanic and DP answered. He was nice patient and helpful. In less than two hours a service truck was there, Katy, TX, to help me. more

The other reviews are very true! This place is the very last place on earth you want to take your car. These guys are INCOMPETENT as they come. Plus, they hustle you for your money. DO NOT sign anything before you leave your car there. It is basically a reason to take your money and your car still not get fixed. It is a complete joke. I nearly got beat up by the bouncer when I voiced my displeasure. I honestly can't believe this place is still in business. I guess they can find suckers everywhere. BOY DID I LEARN THE HARD WAY. more

2 days before i had a problem in inserting keys into ignitions of my Car and so i've to call my insurance for help. I was given 2 options either to call for towing service or an mobile mechanic. I felt Mobile mechanic would be an better option and called ""Mobile Mechanic"" for fixing my car issue. Someone picked up the call and was asking about the details of my car and told me that its going to be 70 $ for Road assistance + for fixing the key issue(smartly took my Credit card details ... ) . more

By calling the main number, you reach a dispatcher who then calls on contractor mechanics to get out to you. The mechanic then calls you to confirm. The consultation is $49, which may be credited to the service fees if you choose to use them. When I spoke with the mechanic, named Lewis, at 1:15pm, I had asked him to meet me at 2:15pm. He asked that I call him 20-25 minutes before that time as a ""reminder."" I called him at 1:50pm to remind him. When I called him again at 2:15pm, he was still 15 minutes away and proceeded to tell me that it had not been 25 minutes yet. I choose not to deal with anyone that wastes my time. He called repeatedly and then left a message on my phone, saying ""You're a liar, insert profanity."" Do not use this very unprofessional service! more
