Merry Maids

I was totally not prepared for this company. Over the phone i was given an estimate of approximately 45.00 per room and when he arrived i was told that it would cost me 299.00. He wrote up his report as if my carpet was heavily soiled with many permanent stains. My carpet is only a year old; we have no pets, and have small spots around the table. After debating both the price and the condition of the carpet he agreed to do it for only 198.00. When he was done i had wet carpet and the same dirty spots that i started with. After he left i went to the store and picked up a can of Resolve and the spots came right up. As if i wasn't upset enough...they used my water and my electricity to do the job. The machine was using so much energy that it caused my breaker to go out about 5-6 times. I would not recommend them to anyone! more

They did sloppy work, leaving things incomplete or completely untouched. When we called to complain we were given lame excuses. Although they sent someone out to fix things the manner in which they originally handled the complaint was unacceptable. Ultimately we feel cheated! I will never use them again! more

I used this particular Merry Maids for about 6 months. Some of the workers were fabulous; others were slipshod. One day, I came home to discover that the workers had incarcerated my cats in my bedroom and left them there when they were through. The cats were freaked out and had urinated on my bed. I called the owner, and he said he would call me back. When he did, he told me that he had spoken with the workers and they had not left the cats locked up in the bedroom. I terminated the service. more

We hired Merry Maids for a business a while back. They really did do a good job. THen a friend told me the workers were taken advantage of. They only get minimum wage, bad benefits. THe owner apparently is making a killing. We paid 300 bucks for 4 hours, and the workers only got minimum wage? That is not right. For that reason I would not hire them again. I would rather get someone out of the newspaper. more
