Editorial review from Citysearch 3/8/2014

There seem to be plenty of glowing reviews on here.. not sure why. It's not too bad, but certainly not the best thing since sliced bread either.\r Gaming arcade is pretty decent for casual gaming with friends or with a date, dance floor and dj's are a hit or miss (some weekends it's excellent, other times.. not so much).\r Overall, a pretty decent place worth checking out atleast once with friends. more

Great Place for Kid Party 1/3/2011

Great place for a kids birthday party!\r \r Wow, I could not have been more impressed by the service I received from EVERYONE at Lucky Strike. I had a birthday for my 7 year old and what a difference from where I had it last year (sky high, horrible). They were so amazing. Adrienne was our main waitress but Raj, the GM also did a great job making sure all of our needs were met. The kids enjoyed an hour of bowling plus an hour of unlimited play with the arcade. The pizza was also very good. All the kids left happy.\r \r Thank you for making my daughter's birthday fantastic!\r \r Doing it a little off hour makes a difference\r \r more

Awesome Night Out 6/22/2010

Went here with some friends I was visiting, and we had a great time. I love the idea of the lounge, bar, bowling alley hybrid. The drinks were really good, at a totally reasonable price. I'd definitely recommend checking it out! Pros: strong drinks, cool atmosphere, great service more

Overpriced and under-fun 2/15/2010

Anyone else notice that all the glowing reviews of this place are from people who have only reviewed Lucky Strikes (or in one case mentioned how great Lucky Strike was in a Jillian's review)? At this time of this writing, there are 6 glowing reviews for this place and all of them only review Lucky Strikes either in Bellevue or other places. How many of these people are really visiting both the Lucky Strike in Seattle and Chicago and NY City? I am willing to be money at least 5/6 of the people if not 6/6 of them are employees! \r \r Betting on that would be a lot more fun than I had at LS. Nothing makes me feel better about a bowling alley and an arcade than some big fat guy dressed in a $2 suit acting like a hot night club bouncer. Get a grip guys. After getting past guido this place just doesn't live up to par. The servers are hot and scantily dressed, but you might as well go to Hooters - at least there they'll touch you on your shoulder. Food was bleh, and drinks were foul. Bowling sucks. Arcade is pathetic. Go spend your money elsewhere.\r \r I think rather than logging in to citysearch and leaving themselves rave reviews, the employees at LS should be serving their customers their drinks and food, and improving their attitudes.\r \r Instead of Lucky Strike, this place should be called Overpriced Gutter-ball! Pros: Good location, easy parking Cons: Pretty much everything more

Just bad. 8/10/2009

You can't even consider this place a bowling alley, its a lounge that has lanes in it. Not five minutes before entering I was TOLD... not asked... to remove my hat. if you're gonna have a dress code why not post it where people can see before they walk in. Everything is over priced, even their crappy fozen pizza they have on their menu. If you wanna bowl go to an ally that has more than 6 lanes. Pros: uhhh..... Cons: over priced more

Great place for afternoon bowling 7/19/2009

Enjoyed an incredible afternoon bowling with friends, watching soccer on the big screen, eating, having drinks. Service was EXCELLENT. our entire goup was in awe of the place. I didn't really want to go at the time as ""typicaly"" bowling is boring. But was I wrong!. This isn't your typical bowling alley and we'd go back in a minute: Perfect place to spend a hot afternoon. Sounders on the big screen, kids bowling like crazy, adults having a great time. Automatic on/off bumpers for kids. Totally cool! Private areas to bowl, too?! Major kudos to Tara (our waitress) and the staff. We loved it. Pros: Ambience, service, giant screens more

don't believe what you read 7/9/2009

been to other lucky strikes and liked them, tried this one out and it was just as good! don't believe what you read - go experience it for yourself. the food and drinks are great, and overall it's a really fun experience. definitely a great place to bowl. Pros: music, food, people more

GO! HAVE SOEM FUN! 4/29/2009

I WENT TO VISIT MY FAMILY IN MEDINA, WA. THEY TOOK ME TO LUCKY STRIKES LANES ON A RAINNY FRIDAY NIGHT!\r \r WHEN WE GOT THERE THERE WAS NO WAIT FOR A LANE. WE BOWLED 2 GAMES THEN DECIDED TO GO TO THE BAR. AT THAT POINT THE PLACE HAD STARTED TO FILL UP. I ENDED UP MEETING SOME COOL PEOPLE AT THE BAR. SOME PEOPLE MY COUSIN NEW WERE THERE AS WELL. IT SEEMED LIKE THIS WAS THE PLACE TO BE.\r \r WE ENDED UP PLAYING 2 MORE GAMES WITH SOME NEW PEOPLE I MET.\r HAD SOME CHICKEN BITES, WHICH WERE GOOD, AND SOME CHEESE FRIES! YOU SHOULD TRY THE CHOCOLATE DESSERT TOO WHILE YOU'RE THERE...ITS PRETTY GOOD. Pros: FOOD, DRINKS, MUSIC, BOWLING TOO more

Dont believe everything you hear, try it for yourself!!!! 4/29/2009

I took my boyfriend to Lucky Strikes this past weekend. We had a great time! I heard people talking about it, saying they didn't like it a while ago, and then never heard anythig else about it. \r \r When we went we were told it was going to be a 20 minute wait for a lane. We ended up at th bar waiting and seen some friends of ours. We decided to add them to our lane, and the staff was more than accomodating. \r \r we ordered some beers and some appitizers to eat while we bowled. The mac and cheese ball are great (hint-hint!). \r \r bowling drinks and food, cost us about $25 a person, which is really reasonable, especially for the atmosphere!\r \r long story short! we had a great time! great food! great staff! great bowling! Pros: great staff, great, food, reasonable prices! Cons: parking was tough more

Great place for a great time 4/27/2009

I went for my friends B Day and have been back a few times now. Its my new favorite spot. Where else can you dance to a live DJ, bowl, play pool and get great dinks, food and service? The whole place looks and feels like a VIP club/room. Their VIP room in the back is all white leather and looks like something out of a movie. I'm already planning my B Day there. I usually go for Happy Hour. $4 drinks and great food makes me come back again and again. The service has always been stellar. The waitress at my friends party was awesome, she had us all in tears laughing. Pros: Great atmosphere and fun Cons: 3 hr validation, free on weekends though more

Great atmosphere 4/27/2009

This place rocks! The interior design makes the place feel like a club, I like that vibe. There isn’t a long line to get in or a ridiculous cover charge. But you gotta recognize it isn’t a bowling alley so don’t expect plastic seats and $1 stale beers. The prices were pretty typical of an upscale restaurant. The lounge is pretty sweet, it has a great crowd and I’ve always had a good time. Pros: good food and drinks more

Very disappointed in high end bowling!! 12/2/2008

We had a large birthday party the other day with 9 year old girls. First of all, I would not recommend this for children's parties. They advertise for children but definitely don't cater to them!! We had a party of 14 kids, we were supposed to have 16 and because of illness two didn't show up. When we paid we asked to pay only for the kids who attended and they refused to take them off which was almost $100 dollars worth!!! Not flexible at all and when my friend tried to negotiate something with the manager he treated her disrespectfully and basically laughed in her face. Watch out because on top of the bowling price there is a 20% service fee plus a 15% gratuity fee. Stick to the local bowling alley, it's a lot more down to earth! Pros: Great ambience, clean Cons: Bad service and way over priced!!! more

Bad Service, Over Priced 11/30/2008

This is my first review, i'm writing because it's sooo bad that i want to let others know about it. My Wife and I went there on Saturday night and picked up our pager and was told that it would be 30 minutes. We waited at the bar and sipped overpriced drinks and never got buzzed at 50 minutes. They forgot to put us on the list, then we were placed on the worst lane where i could not see the score screen and i requested another lane and the staff said that other are scheduled for this lane and i told them that if i would have been paged that we would be half way done by now. finally got a lane and then the lane broke down. the console didn't work to reset the pins and then we had to wait 15 minutes for someone to fix it. The staff was not friendly at all.\r We paid $60 for 3 games that was not worth it at all. I will never go back and hope none of you ever go.\r \r Pros: conveniet location to my house. Cons: worst bowling alley ever more

Horrible service 10/20/2008

I usually don't comment on sites, but this was so bad, I felt compelled to write! We went to the lounge after a birthday dinner for some drinks and after 15 minutes and never getting approached by a server, went to the bar to order. We did have many busers come by to pick up our glasses. We asked them if we could order drinks or send a server over but never got one. The place was only half full and we did see servers helping other people and groups that came in after we did. We stayed about an hour until we were so disgusted by their ignoring our group that we left. Pros: great atomosphere Cons: BAD BAD service more

This is what bowling should be like... 8/6/2008

On my brothers 19th birthday, we got together at Lucky Strike for bowling and dinner. My sister had been with some friends, but the rest of us had never been there. I have to say - I was pretty pleased with my experience! Before we even had our bowling shoes tied, our waitress stopped by with a smile, cocktail napkins, and took our drink orders. She kept our drinks refilled throughout the night & brought our dinners out within 20 minutes of ordering them. I had the Asian Chicken Salad - which was really good! Portions were generous on everything we ordered and prices were more than manageable. \r \r As for the venue, the vibe was awesome. My little sister and brother loved that they could come somewhere that almost felt like a nightclub for social events. There is something be said for such a classy environment that is friendly for all age groups. When we used to live in West Seattle, we would attend West Seattle Bowl - so we loved seeing both ends of the spectrum. And when it came to the bowling, we played for two hours and only paid $14 per each of us for 3 or 4 games between 5 people. Talk about cheaper than expected?! \r \r I would definitely go back again, especially with my girlfriends for drinks on the weekend - and I am sure we will do birthday celebrations here again too. Pros: Classy Lounge Atmosphere, Family Friendly, Pleasant Service Staff, Good Menu Cons: Validation is only for 3 hours, Cramped Seating for 1 Lane more

Should Have NEVER Been Built 6/30/2008

What a waste of retail space. sure it looks good from the outside, but on the inside what counts. Im not talking the views, im talking about good old service. With servers that look like they are trying to hustle a dollar and i mean by all ways. Their outfits are close to strippers. Not A Family place at all. Dont sign up for kids parties at any means. Overpriced. \r Their whole way of business is rich and snubby. have money and waste it all. no value, no service, broken lanes, long waits. imagine the hottest new club in down. You wait outside, told your not good enough to get in. Then you manage a way to find out the place is a fake. Servers are eye candy. they dont want to bring you anything. i wanted 8 minutes for a server to bring me a cocktail menu. then her first words were ""what chu Want?"" like take it or leave. \r By all means AVOID LUCKY STRIKE. go to the movies, play pool, go shopping in the mall. Do yourself a favor and dont visit this establishment. Pros: They Do validate parking for 3hrs. Cons: Everything else possible, plus nasty dirty bathrooms more

Worst Addition To Bowling In General 6/4/2008

they think they created a bowling alley, but what they created was a overpriced lounge with crappy cocktail servers, who you have to flag down. second the whole place is sectioned off. bar here, cant see the lanes, bathroom still havent found, then when done waiting for a lane for over two hours after making a 3 week prior reservations they actually gave me one size1 1 and one size 12, what a mess of a operation. the drinks were weak and overpriced. the whole place is for some look of getting it, and then when you look at the check is when they got you. management there has tried making a club out of a bowling alley and has failed at both.... stay far away. go somewhere else Cons: parking...parking.... service....overpriced....not really a bowling alley more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS 5/17/2008

Overpriced, rude and lazy servers, lanes not always working, they moved us twice on one night. difficult to plan a party there without choosing a pre-planed overprice event. my advice to you just dont go...no worries then Pros: underage drinking Cons: pricey, lack of service, parking more
